dashiichi: I'm grinding may way in Survival mode now and am in a similar situation. Wimpy ship, pathetic shield, weapons that barely light up asteroids, and a minimal warp drive. Grah!
I'm pretty sure that exactly who has which blueprints has changed with the Foundation and Pathfinder releases, so some of the advice out there on the 'net may no longer apply.
General advice for finding blueprints is to talk to every alien that you meet. You can skip the farmer/scientist/etc. aliens who are looking to be hired to work at your base (unless/until you are ready to populate your base, of course). Some of the boxes that litter planets might have something useful, as well.
At some point, you should start to get a "space anomaly" to show up in the same system you're visiting. Don't leave without dropping by and talking to anyone inside.
Pay attention to the type of alien manning the little bodega inside space stations. You might discover that they have different types of upgrades (exosuit vs ship vs multi-tool). Don't know if warp blueprints are included but may be worth checking with the ship upgrade vendor.
i guess that i have to just keep keeping on have base and and all associated aliens. i warp and check every trader at the space stations i might just concentrate on warp fuel and keep warping until i find the upgrades it is fustraighting when you see what system you need to be at but need warp ungrades to reach them.
Thanks for the reply though it lets me know they are out there somewhere.
