Hi,

I am looking to reset the game, but have only been able to find instructions for PS4 and Steam versions. Navigating the GOG game files isn't producing an obvious candidate for deletion (and don't want to trial-and-error too much), either. Should I just uninstall or is there a file I can delete/tweak that will have the same effect? Any info anyone can provide would be appreciated. Thank!

If you mean deleting your save to start over, look under c:/users/(your windows user name)/AppData/Roaming/HelloGames. I believe that's where saves are kept.

You may want to back the directory up somewhere in case you change your mind.
Saved games

C:\Users\%usersname%\AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS\DefaultUser\cache
It's easier to just type %appdata% (inc percentage signs) into the windows menu run box,you can then see the files you need to work on.

This one is closest to the solution, I think. The full path is:

c:/users/%username%/AppData/Roaming/HelloGames/NMS/DefaultUser/

From here, you delete/relocate the mf_storage.hg and storage.hg files. There are multiple saves stored here, so if you have a mf_storage2.hg, mf_storage3.hg, storage2.hg and storage3.hg you'll want to get those out of there as well.

Thank you for the help!
