As others have said, very wary about going for a last minute pre-order because of that troublesome bonus ship and it's sneaky hyperdrive.

But I wondered is the current price (£39.99) part of the pre-order deal?
Is that price likely to go up immediately after the game has launched?
Or is that price likely to remain at least for the time being?

What do you think?

Remove the hyperdrive to force yourself to play as normal.
The pre-order here on GOG is as separate DLC, so maybe just don't download the DLC if you're that paranoid.

The price won't change either.

When you start the game it notifies you that you have DLC items that need to be redeemed. You redeem them by pausing the game, going to Options, and selecting Redeem Bonus Content.

Because of this I think it's possible to avoid the issue altogether by just waiting to activate the ship until later. Just be sure you can make your own hyper drive and stuff before you do so. It's also possible they'll have this fixed by release but who knows?

To be honest, I think I emphasised the wrong part of my query.

I'm not 'very wary' about the ship. Pretty indifferent actually!

I was mainly wondering if the price is going to leap up after launch, but as you say micktiegs_8 - that's unlikely.

I got the same email but the install button is still greyed out and it says its not compatible would u know wat that means..

It means Galaxy is weird. That's all there is to it.

Yeah what he said. This will be an excellent test. Also I don't work for GOG so I do not know.
