Using installer setup_no_mans_sky_4.10_fractal_100408a_(62628).exe

After I select any of the game modes there's the flying through the stars then it freezes.
If I click anywhere on the screen I then get the error message.

When is the last time that you were able to actually play? Hello Games dropped support for 7 and 8.1 a while ago.

Yeah samething here. Everything was running 100% before this last update. Now i get this error everytime i try to enter any of the game options.

Thats really sad that here and there those updates arrive with crashing bugs. Really love the game but sometimes i need to close my eyes to these boring issues.

Update: Following some steam users, i have updated my nvidia driver for mine gtx 1650 and now i was able to enter the game without any crashing. Completed arround 60% of the new expedition without issues.

My game will not even load. It says there's a problem with the Vulkan Driver. I contacted customer support, updated my drivers at least twice and still the same thing. Started on the 22nd.

update 4,12 is out

sadly for me it crashes after a minuet or two even worse than before the 4.12 update
i've sent a report to them
hopefully what ever it is that's making it crash will be fixed soon

I suspect they have changed something related with Vulkan driver. This is because updating graphic drivers have solved the issue in some players (AMD or nVidia).

However, they must take into account that many players (independently of the operating system) cannot updated their graphic card driver because they have an unsupported, but still usable, graphic card (planned obsolescence).

When I tried to patch my game to 4.12 I got an error message saying "This patch does not support your version of the game, please download a new installer", but I did download and install the patch before it. But when I went to make sure there wasn't a new patch between the 4.08-4.10 patch and the 4.10-4.12 patch I found that they have now added a new 4.08-4.10 patch. The old one was 100408 and the new one is 100408a.

I tried patching with the new "100408a"-version, but got the same error message.

Seems like I made a mistake updating to
"Patch (4.08_Expeditions_97029 to 4.10_Fractal_100408) 4.10_Fractal_100408"
Since now there's a
"Patch (4.08_Expeditions_97029 to 4.10_Fractal_100408a) 4.10_Fractal_100408a"
And the new 4.12 patch doesn't seem to work with the first one without the "a" on the end.

I really hope I'm not stuck on some dead end patch and have to reinstall the game to an older version and try the "a" patch...

Version 4.12 still crashes for me. After selecting the savegame, and seconds after stars moving, the game closes showing an error message abot the file "nvoglv64.dll".

I suspect that I must remain in version 4.08 (Expeditions).

i updated my game with galaxy

i might see what happens with win 8.1, but it's 1:30 am and i'm off to bed in a mo and stress will only keep me awake


theirs another patch (but knowing gog it won't hit till monday or tuesday ,i hope i'm wrong )
