Hi there,
Apologies if this has already been asked; I tried searching for the topic but could not find anything related to my problem.
OK so having taken a brief hiatus from the drudgery of NMS (been playing Elite and SC instead) I decided to check back in and see if any patches had been released. The answer (to my surprise) was that 2 patches had in fact been made available - even on GOG *gasp*
My problem though, is that when I try to install them I get the following error message...
"This patch is incompatible with GOG Galaxy version of the game and might break it.
Do you wish to continue?"
Well, no not really... If No Man's Sky was any more broken, it would most likely cause some kind of anomalous rift in reality and cause a fatal error that would require a reboot of the entire cosmos. I can't risk that.
So what gives? I don't think I have the GOG Galaxy version but I can't be entirely sure, it's all a bit vague. I did at one point install Galaxy, in the hope of obtaining the experimental patch that Steam users got first (because Steam is better) but when the goods didn't turn up I uninstalled Galaxy in disgust and later reinstalled No Man's Sky in the hope that it might just magically start working and, while it was about it, maybe even attempt to entertain me a little.
So yeah, whatsup with this? Will the magical unicorn patches "break" my game, or is GOG just trolling me with an alarmist dialogue box?
