New update has been released, v2.12

Very nice it is too

Yes it looks like they managed to get a lot of improvements in, hoping it will be available soon on GoG as well.
This update made all my base consruction disappear. A few things pop in and out, but I can walk though them and they disappear again. Logging out and back in makes no change.

I have exactly the same issue as you, i spent ages doing my base as well. Landing platform, crops and mining and when i walk forward the floor beneath me appears then disappears as do the structures ie: batteries solar panels and so on. I'm getting fed up with this now, 3 years of bugs bugs and more bugs. What's the point?

It's been available to me in Galaxy since I first checked about 8 hours ago (no offline installer up to now). Didn't update yet, though.
Played a bit, checked out my base, and so far, luckily, no big problems yet. I still have some graphical bugs that were cleared by the Vulkan update, but returned with Beyond. I even tried my first Nexus mission and it went without a hitch. I guess so far so good.
I also bit the bullet, and did the update from 2.11 (buildnumber 52149) to 2.12.

Thankfully, the game didn't confuse me with fixing the small sample of bugs I tested for.

I am still hitting invisible walls in my freighter / frigates, ships are still on fire in the hangar, freighter base building still yells 'invalid position' at me for what seem to be perfectly valid positions, but happily lets me build in totally invald positions (e.g. overlapping Large Hydroponic Trays, parts of Fleet Control Rooms protruding into other rooms, ...).

Also, the game is still too polite to at least burp a warning about eradicating my progress by deleting all Teleport locations other than my own base(s), if I dare change Galaxies.

But at least the one base I have for now seems to be still intact. Probably due to the fact, that it's a cube of metal walls with holes, because the game politely reminded me of things being invalid or limited, if I tried to get creative with more than a handful of Cuboid Rooms -- and I got a little sick of working around this. But maybe that got fixed. Alas, for now, I CBA to give that yet another try.

On a more positive note, I did not yet experience any new bugs. To my own surprise, I really wrote that last sentence with a straight face.

Edit: I don't run any mods, and did not fiddle with RemoveBaseBuildingRestrictions. I don't need the added risk, the game provides enough 'surprises' to me as it is :o)

You will find that if you have Baseboundryplus mod installed, that is what is making your base disappear.
As soon as I disabled that mod everything came back again.

Yeah, people seem to think the game is pre-release, it's not. I just uninstalled the game when it kept telling me to connect the power source to a battery, which it was, but the game refused to accept that. Got tired of the WTF do you have to do moments.

If you meant the Offline Backup Manual Installers (not GOG Galaxy installation) .. They are available now.

They're also available in my region -- I'm downloading them right now.
I wonder if the GoG version 2.12 and the Steam version 2.12 is different in Multiplayer mechanics. In the Steam forums I don't stop reading that players cannot do Quicksilver missions in the Nexus, and they receive massive responses like saying it's bugged, it's broken etc. But if I repeat these missions in my GoG version I see no problems whatsoever. Unless: The 2 game versions are different beasts in MP.

What do you think? And can GoG players meet/join Steam players?

Thanks.

I compare notes a lot with steamplayers on a german NMS board. I did never find a point where the GoG and the Steam version differ in any way - besides of bugs in multiplayer (or in former times - having a multiplayer) :)

It's that point where the game has to interact with different clients.

Unfortunately, there is no crossplay. We are not able to meet or join each others. But we see each others bases and discoveries.

Thanks to clarify this for me, I appreciate. I was in fact aware of the non-crossplay but my info was from Beyond release mid August. So apart that, in these "Community Research" missions, for example doing a Quicksilver mission taken from the Nexus, this would play the same in the GoG / Steam versions to your knowledge? Because if not, if it's different, then I must highly refrain to take part in Steam forum discussions being at risk to go completly off-road and false in my statements! I in fact silently assume it's the same.
