Has anyone found a way to bait the new extremely fast fauna that skims below ground with brief leaps into the atmosphere? About half of these have a bait listed but so far I have not been able to get them to take the bait.

I have been able to eventually kill these to grab the products like Lumpy Brainstem, Bone Nuggets and Scooped Innards.

Some of the new fauna does not have a listed bait but some do. I recently encountered a planet of a daily quicksilver mission that seems to have almost every type of the new fauna and it seems that half have a listed bait (per scanning) while half do not.

This is what I have tried (and failed) with:

Normal tossing of bait.
Trying to anticipate where one of this will be come in contact with the bait while skimming or leaping.
Creating a base so that could try pulling them close using the Automated Feeder and Livestock Unit.

Yes, a bait is listed both when looking through the visor for about half of the skimmers and is blank for the others. Bait can also be noted when looking at the summary in the fauna discoveries but in that list every creature has a bait so that is suspect although can be helpful when selecting which bait to select.

I had forgotten about the fish and bait. The only thing that I ever found to work were the crabs and anything swimming never notices.
