So far, what I got from Polo were known blueprints.
I'm not sure whether if I got a broken game or what. I did some crash ship searches lately and all of them are below my ship levels. I got a 36 slot, and I see a lot of 35 and lower. Not that I care, since I'm not putting anything new (I got the highest warp drive, highest pulse engine, highest lasers and plenty of shields) and I only carry expensive stuff. I only pick up other metals or isotopes etc..if I'm running low on energy or fuel. So I'm not running to get the 40+ slot ship, with the endless grind it requires to either switch broken ships or collect a crazy amount of credits.

I don't remember how I got my V1 pass. Don't think it was from Polo, it may have been, but I wasn't on the Atlas Path for a long time. Took time out to max out my suit and ship. I think I had it by then.

Hi, I had the same problem as you until this evening. After reading your post I managed to find my way back to my starter system (damn I hate that galactic map, and this 'search for discoveries' feature people keep mentioning doesn't exist on my galactic map...) and headed towards my starter planet. While in space I used the ship's scanners and the monolith was revealed on the planet that sets the Atlas path in motion.

I'm now parked up by the monolith and the tips say The Atlas: Come closer. Hear our words.

I thought I was done with Polo and Nada, the last time I was at an anomaly they were saying it was the last time we will talk. At the time I hadn't cataloged 100% of a planets animals, and Polo wanted that. I figured that's one thing that I won't do on the Atlas Path, because I finished it. Later on I did get 100% on a planet. Well, I was on a planet, I don't know how many warps away, and an anomaly just shows up in space, I noticed it in the sky. I went there and Polo wanted to finish the part about 100% cataloging a planet. Didn't get anything for it, but was surprised by it.
It's strange that the anomaly won't show up for people who need to do the quest, and showed up for something minor like that.

How'd you manage to track your way back? I thought of that but the best I could do was find the last system I'd jumped from. Did you just keep back tracking system by system?

The backspace key is mapped to taking me to the current system in the galactic map, I haven't changed that key mapping. Would be lovely if it highlighted our starter system!

I basically found my way back using the method Humbleman suggests - checking the name of the last system I was at in discoveries then finding and travelling to that system on the galactic map. Eventually made it back to my starter system, thankfully was less than 10 jumps away otherwise I might have given up. It's not easy to identify a system in the galactic map when you have to select each star in turn.

True, they could have put in something like a toggle names on/off key. Which brings up another point, why didn't this game have a manual, or bare minimum a readme file with information about the basics of how the game works. It just shows that NMS was poorly made in almost every way.
