of course there are such planets, but you're right, you have to search for them a long time. I've found one, too, where I built my base now. Only a few boiling-hot rainstorms are here fom time to time, no aggressive animals and the sentinels behave "regular" lets say (not aggressive or something like this). Everything else is almost perfect... approx 26 degrees "outside", lots of plants, animals, resources etc.

The only thing with the planet is that it still is far away from the centre (>710k LYs) of the Euclid Galaxy which is not the best place to finish the "storyline" of the game.

They're out there, but keep in mind you're looking for something quite specific if you want no storms and no predators. The procedural generation will throw them in the mix, but the chances are far higher that you'll have either storms, predators, aggressive sentinels, or a mix of all of those. I've found a few that have no predators, but infrequent storms (maybe once a day). I've only found one lush moon with no storms and no predators.

That being said, I personally prefer toxic or irradiated worlds.

I found the perfect planet base by sheer perseverance... but it took me almost a week of searching (I wanted it to be the first planet, so I actually started from scratch each time until I found it). But now I live on a green planet with blue water, no aggressive animals, no sentinels, just one storm in all the weeks I have been there (believe that one storm might even have been scripted) AND an affluent Vy'keen system. I couldn't be happier!

On top of that, I found my forever cutie ship that I can now transform into a micro hauler:

And after a few (quite a few) tries, I got this S class freighter - yeah, not pretty, but plenty of storage and building space:

So it IS possible to find near perfection in the game, but it might take a while.

I started a new game in 2.0 and my starter system had two tropical/bountiful planets and one had no storms or agressive animals. This system also had a 24 slot S class multitool. But after a dozen new characters I've never had this luck again, but if you keep looking long enough you'll find the perfect planet. An upgraded hyperdrive makes searching a lot better.

Yes, that first storm is scripted. And the game also tricks you sometimes because until that storm occurs, the description of the planet will say weather:beautiful or something like that. The true description only pops up after that scripted storm. I've found a number of lush planets at the beginning of the game that did that.

Nice little yellow guppy you got there, btw. I found a blue one in my Synthesis test run. I restarted a couple nights ago and grabbed one with the top fin (not the long one, but the shorter one) and the long needle nose in my started system. Blue and gold. I'm currently finding crashed ships and converting them to scrap. Any upgrade modules I find have been used to enhance the storage on my little blue guy. I've also bought and scrapped a couple S class shuttles. So far I've added 10 slots to the ship and a handful of S class upgrades.

I like that freighter as well. Very nice.

There are such planets throughout the galaxy.
The closest to the center I could find is Gongha in the Taco system, address 07F9:007D:07FA:01CB.

Well, actually I found two perfect planets during the game.

One nearby the center of the first galaxy (Euclid). It's a moon where is always summer (around 34 degree celcius at day and 21 at night). No storms overall, also no aggressive sentinels or animals. It's colour is mainly orange, the only thing which makes it a bit sad is the absence of water.

The other planet I found was half the to the center of the second galaxy (Hilbert dimension). Temperatures are always over 20 but lower than 35 degrees. It has water as well and so far I did not come across something truly aggresive except the abyssall horror. Also there are no storms at all.
I found this more or less by accident since I only was speeding through the galaxy to reach the center but did take a rest on this one and claimed a base there.

Both planets are located in 3 star-systems which makes it additionally enjoyable.

Just found one today in Permadeath. Green planet with no water. Blissful weather, non-aggressive sentinels, but there's a fairly aggressive predator species that spawns 2 or 3 at a time 90% of the time when you land. I claimed a base just for yucks and grins because predators don't worry me too much.

Well first of all there is no such planet.

Even lush planets without storms, low sentinel activity, and no predators will still drain your life support.

Thats why all my bases look the same in their design. There is always an inside, so I can run around with no life support drain.



There are plenty of such planets though. Finding out if a planet is of this kind can be done easily, too:

- Lush planets have a number of predefined descriptors, such as "Paradise" or "Bountiful", and they have Star Bulb and Paraffinium as resources.

- Non-extreme worlds have regular Copper (regular/yellow stars), Cadmium (red stars), Emeril (green stars) or Indium (blue stars), not Activated Copper/Cadmium/Emeril/Indium. Extreme lush worlds will still have no hazard drain while it doesnt storm but will have storms, more specifically will have extreme storms (I think always ? not sure) and often also Storm Crystals.

- Once you land on the planet, the game will briefly display information about the planet. Specifically it will state the weather and the sentinel activity. If it says something like "Low" for the sentinels, then Sentinels are limited to their specific locations like manufactories, or when you loot something Sentinels protect, such as sentient plants.

- You can also get this information by using the analysis visor without pointing it at anything specific.

- The only sure way I know to find out if a planet has no predators is scanning all fauna. Then again you ususally find out pretty quickly if a planet has predators because you usually get attacked by them very quickly.

So yes, you can find that out pretty quickly and I've seen plenty of these planets. I just dont care that much about them. They only offer very specific resources and I want all types, so I certainly visit all other types of planets as well, and you also cant really build a base without roof on them.

If your graphics card can handle it, you can certainly build bases with tons of glas elements. I have however found that this puts a lot of stress on my (very old) graphics card, so I dont do that.
