just have black screen with loading
Same here only the logo and it dissapears. what a ripoff
I think the game plan is to sting us along until after the 30 days, then tell in a very Steam like way that "you played for 30 days you can't get your money back." I don't plan on wait very long at all. This IS a ripoff.
On the plus side, glad to see I'm no the only one.
Same problem on 2 separate PC's. One with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, the other Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

kappanossi: Yeah it crashes for me after showing the Hello Games logo for a second. No dice...
Me too, I presume the usual GOG cycle of "we'll patch it after the weekend" applies so I guess I'll be waiting until Monday to play this...
Same problem. Logo --> Crash

attempting on two different pcs as well
On reddit people says that we need OpenGL 4.5. If you haven't - game will never be started. If this true...it's very sad for me.
Same problem. Havok logo ---> Crash.

Try updating your drivers. I had the same exact problem as you describe, a quick update (not even a reboot) sorted it out.
Might try temporarily disabling your antivirus and running a repair/verify on the game (if using Galaxy). I couldn't play until I did that as my antivirus (Avast) was keeping the Visual C++ popup from coming up. Or might try googling Visual C++ runtime and installing that separately.

/edit: Forums acting weird, got two posts combined. Removing excess.

from the reddit post:

"EDIT 17: Make sure your drivers are up to date. It's confirmed working, as long as you have at least 90% support of openGL 4.5 on the realtech glview software."

i have the 90% but the problem remains for now

Same here. Up to date drivers and 90% support of openGL 4.5 and still crashes...

Generally, if a GPU doesn't support in hardware the features the game expects it to support through the API the game uses (OpenGL or D3d or Vulkan), the game may not run at all, or may run very poorly. But at the moment it's hard to know whether this kind of behavior is caused by game bugs or by insufficient hardware support in older GPUs.
Found a way past the Hello Games screen but this isn't good news.

Followed instructions in this reddit thread:

Basically by emulating SSE4.1 we can determine the crashing is caused by a lack of SSE4.1 support.

If any of you are crashing after Hello Games appears, this may be the reason why. There isn't much you can do about it as the emulation makes it unplayable in terms of speed. You have to wait for Hello Games to add support for this.

I successfully loaded into the game but there was too much hitching and freezing to be an acceptable workaround.
