Nob2266: Hi Rostfreyh!
Welcome back and feel free to take a look to all our new bases at GOG-EC !
Every planet has a special experiance :D
Well, I already got lost in some of the bases... :)

It's a beautiful star system!
Hey, Im not much experienced in this game yet. :^) If I join friend's game with my current save, will I stay in that system? Will I be able to teleport to space station in that system? If so, can somebody help me with moving there?

Hi, and welcome!

If you join a friend's game, you stay there for that session only. When you quit your location is forgotten and you'll pick right up where you were before when you start playing your game again.

As for teleporting, you can only teleport to teleporters you have used or interacted with. That what makes it stay on your list of destinations. From that time on, it will be on your list and you can teleport there any time.

If you have any of us on your friends list, then you can join our game. We can get you moved to GoG Civilized Space.

BUT, you will have to find a nice spot and build at least a tiny base with a teleporter in order to be able to come back on your own. The only rule is build your base at least 1000u away from others. You can build as big as you want in any style you choose.

So when you see us in-game, ask and we will help! We'll give you step-by-step instructions.

Enjoy!

Everyone;

Can I be the nominated ambassador for GoG Space?

I'd like to submit our entry to the Galactic Atlas page maintained by HG themselves.

It requires us to specify a Capitol Planet. I nominate GoG-83, where I have my main base on Iraksh.

Please let me know. Vote for me! YAY! :)

Welcome Alexmal007!

Hey John, congratulations! I think there is a vacancy since our last ambassador escaped... erm... went on holiday....?

I nominate our very first planet Gogus Prime!

Hooray, we have another vote running! :)
Uh-oh, John. My vote isn't cheap. That will cost you ... **calculates** ... oh ... that's alright ... Seems, I've already gotten enough gifts from you to vote for you as Govenor for life.

I have found a system with a "Iran" planet in it, but it isn't half as good as the "Iraksh" one. So, you have my blessing.
You guys rock!

I shall go back to Gogus Prime and refresh my memory about it.

I guess the next few days will tell what planet is to be the Cap.

Ok, everyone, lets have votes!

-John

PS, Please start PMing members who havent participated in a while.

rostfreyh: Welcome Alexmal007!
Thanks! I've found a nice place and I want to be sure that's not close enough to others. How can I see distance to others? There's only time.

Edit: oh, found it on top

No objections to Johntodd as ambassador :)
But I do vote for Gogus Prime as the capital because this is where it started.
I found some interesting fauna on Anjal IV in GoG-EC! Well, something like 7.1 meter tall 'T-Rex-Ants'. One of the biggest creature I ever saw.

And some, well, shroomheads... not so rare but I like 'em :)

See attached images...

If you want to take a look yourself. They live near / north of my base on Anjal IV.

I've been making my way to the GOG-87 Omning Lidkorjah. I have a crap freighter so my jumps are short (around 1900ly at a time). I still don't know where to get hyperdrive upgrades, beyond the unlockable base ones. Unless there are no more. I'm not clear on that. All the freighters I encounter are crap so the opportunity of buying a new one hasn't presented itself. I'm getting there, slowly.

Btw, does anyone have a screenshot for the loction on the galaxy map? The one on the wiki doesn't show it. Atm, I'm just aiming for the centre of the galaxy. I went through a portal but I couldn't create a waypoint so I'm flying blind.

Hey Shane, it's somehow difficult to show useful screenshot with everything on it... We are only 5000 ly away from center, so nothing wrong with this direction so far.

But you should be able to set a waypoint if you've been there via portal. Maybe you have to scroll down in your discoveries list very deep. I think that's because of the list doesn't show the systems sorted by when you have discovered them but when anyone had discovered.

Weirdly enough, it doesn't show in my discoveries list. Maybe it's some sort of glitch or I didn't save properly. I honestly don't know. I might try a portal again.

Well, you made your way to the place. So it's not a shortcut anymore if you use multiplayer to make the last steps ;)

I would join one of our games if you're near and use a teleporter there or build a base to come to the exact location.

But won't that strand my freighter and prevent me from teleporting to other places, like my first base?

Hi Shanesemler!
In this game you may teleport wildly -- I believe this was not so in earlier version, but as long as I can remember (7 months), freedom of movement is of no concern in this universe. You can always go back to your own bases (even switching galaxies, even when the target base doesn't have a TP).

Furthermore, your freighter doesn't strand. If it has no fuel, no problem!, just warp with your ship, or teleport, and summon the freighter to your position. It's just like magic.

If unsure, make a backup copy of your savegame before doing something "nifty" (you should do so anyway, on a regular basis, in case a bug in the game rends your savegame unusable).

See you soon in space! :D
