rostfreyh: Again there's too much work from my job at the moment. But if I knew a time for the party in advance I'll try to join you!
Guys, we should try to work on this.

Also, Rost, and everyone, please tell us what times you are NOT available.

(and please list your timezone so we can make proper calculation.)
Best time for me is Saturday or Sunday afternoon (german time) .
But - are we able to join if we are more then 4 people? Or we fly all to your meeting point without joining a group...

We can have up to 32 players in the same instance and be able to see each other, chat, interact, etc.

The Groups are limited to 4. So here is my idea:

I can be the "Joiner", that is I will go to the location, and 3 people join my game.

When those 3 arrive in the system (game has loaded) they quit the group and fly to my location.

3 more people join my game, and the cycle repeats until up to 32 people are present.

It would work, it would just take a few minutes.

If we agree to meet at someplace that you already have in your teleporter list, then you wouldn't need to join my game, you'd start your game and then just Tport over, WITHOUT joining my game (to make way for those who need to join my game)

So if we held this party at the GoG Town Hall and Rack Track, a lot of you would just Tport over, and a few of you would need to get there by joining.

We could also meet at the Anomaly. I could simply loiter there so that my base will be in the teleporter list. Since there are not 32 of us in GoG Space, we could also invite other friends and randoms to Tport over, too.

Your thoughts?
-John

UTC+1 here. On the one hand I'm usually flexible respective the time of day on week ends - on the other hand I've to review tons of term papers and tests, have to visit a stage play of a friend, party with alumni, having hangover for two days cause of beeing old(er) and not beeing able to keep up with alumni ... and so on and so forth. That's why I often play only short time in the morning lately ... :-/ Sorry, I'm way too lazy to schedule my remaining leisure... :)) I'll try to join you whenever you decide to meet.
Saturday or Sunday 18 UTC should work - can't look further right now.

John, shouldn't the host be at home to greet the guests? Everyone of us has a base in O.L. We summon the Anomaly, try to collect some more guests there, and teleport with them in tow to O.L. Let's hope the servers survive the mass invasion ;P
Quick edit: Or, maybe, if I can't participate, I could probably stay in the Anomaly.

I see what you mean about the host being at home to greet the guests, but the host has to be in the Anomaly for the base to appear in the list.

I would say ask one of you to be at the base to greet the guests. That greeter would need to stay in Group Chat with the base owner up in the Anomaly.

After enough guests have Tported to the base, the base owner could then join the party at the base!
I will try to make it to the meeting. I am in EST Canada.
I think the, easiest way would be, if we all met first in the anomaly, maybe in the room in front of the teleporter. After that, we could all jump to a shared John base that is shown to all of us in the teleporter.

John, please make us a suggestion with the time! :)

If the first attempt doesn't work for everyone, it might be a good test run for a second appointment.

Mel, I made up my mind beforehand that this Living Ship is my child. And as such, I will love it no matter what.

So, even though my ship looks like something that fell from an Ox's nose, it is still the most beautiful ship in the game!

Try that! You'll see it differently!

I usually see most of you between 1400-1600 my time , which is Central Time, USA.

And we have advanced our clocks ahead 1 hour for Daylight savings Time.

I cannot predict when I find some spare time for this game. But would join if I am online by coincidence. Anyway, my timezone is GMT+1 and whatever the EU decides for summertime craziness.
I'm at the same times as you, we may meet someday, i'll add you as GOG friend ^^
So, how did John's end-of-term party go?
-- "...!!"
Oh, my goodness, you're still planning?
(Reminds me of the voting procedure for GOGSpace's new central system.) ;D

This week I should be ready for partying starting at late afternoons / early evenings (UTC).

Yeah, we seem to have forgotten it.

Lets do it this coming weekend?
I have established the "Corona Virus Research Station" in Calypso Galaxy if anyone wants to see it.

Please bring your own toilet paper!
