Speaking of building limits, has there been a recent change to the maximum building radius?

I was f'ing around a while back and built a long bridge between two tall mesa formations (base is on one of them). Put down the bridge with no drama to the far mesa, a distance of about 500 units from the base computer.

Went back to do some editing and today the building cutoff is only about 300 units from the computer. Annoying.

Mayuro wrote earlier in this thread that he could build more than 300u but this stopped with one of the last updates. He's my neighbour in the Gogville-project and I'm seeing his roads to my base cut off, too... :/

EDIT: After having wrote this I went online and saw the part of Mayuro's base which was cut off yesterday... ?! Then I Tried to build a road from my base to Jen's base - and I could build 1000u from my BC ... Well, maybe building permissions are linked to some random function in the game? :))

Me too. And Jen reported same. Maybe something changed in that regard, too. It's strange that it happens to so much people at the same time.

I had this a year ago - between 40 and 50 different bases. I deleted some older bases and it works again.
Meanwhile, I use all of my 5 save games - one of it for two or three main systems, the others for bases in another systems.. so I can build more bases :)

Yes, the impending construction limit was why I went back to that base. The bridge uses a lot of parts for no other reason than "Can I make a bridge over to the other side?" and I was intending to deconstruct it and recover the material. But now that I can't build over that far any more, I don't want to tear it down. ;-)

I deleted some old bases and everything works now.

Also, I made an outpost on the "Planetary Anomaly" planet a mission kept taking me to.

It's quite freaky. If anyone is interested hit me up in game and we'll go there.

Perhaps some bases on exotic planets in a green or blue system (with many planets) ?
I think about more creative bases, who are with similar colors of the planet...

Ok, great! I just took a look via portal teleport. ( I have a base directly at a portal on Gogus Proxima in GOG 87 ! ). I could set a waypoint in the galacitc map and so I'm there :) I''ll build a first base there tomorrow evening.

A bit late to the earlier discussion, but yes you can build stabilized glitches (like Calcishroom) using 10 x Pure Ferrite, even outside of Creative Mode.

To do this, select the glitch you want to place (assuming you already have one) in build mode, but dont build it; instead press " i " to pin its formula, then exit the new formula prompt and enter build mode again and reselect the glitch.

You may now place as many of its type as you want, no matter how many you have, by paying a cost of 10 Pure Ferrite for each. The placed glitches can then be collected by either deleting them (in build mode, hold control and click on them while the red "X" is selected) or picking them up (default: middle click).

Note that this effect will only last for a few seconds, and will have to be performed anew if you take too long to start placing them or do not keep placing them fast enough.

To convert them back to Pure Ferrite, build them in a stack, one on top of the other, and then delete/pick up the base one (in the bottom of the stack). This will collect that one but convert all standing on top of it back to 10 Pure Ferrite each.

OK, found another system.

The Nexus kept sending me to this same star system again and again for missions, so one time I looked at the Galaxy Map, and lo-and-behold, it was adjacent to GoG Space.

So I claimed it for us. I present to you:

GoG-2E Two Repeaters

A smaller system, but some variety for us. I have established an outpost there if anyone wants to go.

I'll build an outpost too at the green planet "Nice and Rainy" :)
