The game was running great on my 980M W8.1
Till today when I updated to the latest 372.54 Nvidia driver.
Stuttering returned and performance dropped.

Haha, I had the same issue.
Also GTX 980 but Win 7 (64).

Rolled back to old driver version -> game runs perfectly again.

Not sure what they were doing.

Yes, everyone knows by now this new driver is terrible.

It's ONE CLICK to roll back, why not roll back?

What was the version number of the driver before ?

Thanks :)
Thanks for that lads, I was just going to update my drivers. You saved me the frustration :)
Driver works fine for me, YMMV. (372.54 WHQL) GTX 1070

I also followed some instructions to delete the SHADERCACHE folder from the game directory after updating.

Ever since I got the game I rolled back to 347.52 for my 760 - this seems to work best for me. It also makes my Etherium mining 2X faster as well. Every time Windows does it's update though, it gets updated. :P I have a shortcut to roll back now.

Will this work for W 8.1 though?

EDIT: You know it's funny, I use computers since the early 80s, I use Windows since 3.1 and I have never EVER used the rollback feature. Ever. I didn't even know it existed. lol

I use it a lot being in IT and all.

But the drivers work great iwth the new NMS patch, so you can probably upgrade now.

I might have to as with the latest patch the performance has dropped, a lot.

The same with except once, when I contacted a Trojan virus and tried to roll back. It didn`t even work anyway. Never bothered with it again.
