Have noted that recent releases to Experimental (beta) versions for No Man's Sky have not been released to GOG users.

I recognize that some of the releases have occurred what appears to be after close of normal business hours for GOG so there will be some delays.

Has any once else noted this? Apparently most of the recent updates have been with VR for PC but there may also be some updates that would help non-VR players.
Same, there is something wrong with GOG No Man's Sky beta 3xperimental channel.

We get some of them but not all. Today has had a couple of beta updates according to steam depots

The Steam topic also lists these ..

Experimental Branch Update 27/08
Fixed a rendering crash.

Experimental Branch Additional Update 27/08
Broadened the PC VR optimisations to include Oculus.
When in VR, removed a number of settings that have no effect in VR.

.. But even if you do a verify installation, the newer betas do not download

Galaxy currently has "Experimental_52035"

And its not just today, its happened a few times in the last week. Not really all that fussed about the most recent betas though seeing as I dont have VR to be testing anyway - Maybe they are just targetting the betas for VR users at Steam exclusively?

Edit : I think we also did not get the Public release of 2.09.1 as an Offline Backup Installer (None Galaxy Installation). Its hard to tell with the naming and version conventions for those files "setup_no_mans_sky_51973_incremental_(31889).exe", but that name IIRC was the same for the 2.09 version, so I think we did not get the follow up bug fixed 2.09.1

That 2.09.1 version is likely far more important than the 2.09 version as it contains many fixes specific to playing on PC, whether it is in a gaming platform like Gog Galaxy or Steam, or simply on a PC. I greatly appreciate Gog making these experimantal updates available to us and am waiting patiently for this one to appear. I understand it can take time and it may not be that profitable for Gog to make available to us.

Thanks for the replies.

I submitted a support request to GOG.

I also rechecked and if one looks at backups and other goodies 2.09 and 2.09.1 do not appear. However, I believe that we did receive this on August 23, 2019 or so and in my case it was just the version changing as Experimental had already been updated. A short time later on August 23, 2019 there was an update to Experimental but the three subsequent updates to Experimental have not be available to those of us living in the orphanarium.

EDIT: 209.1 was the patch that fixed powering of First Aid Stations, suicide by closing notification messages, etc.

ChewyWeAreNotHome: I submitted a support request to GOG.
Yeah I thought about doing the same, but I think we will find its down to HelloGames not providing for GOGs Beta channel.

For the Offline Backup installers, its a case of HelloGames have to provide first, and then GOG are playing catch-up making the installers, which is usually a bit slower than the GOG Galaxy installation method (especially if HelloGames do a Public release on Friday, and GOG don't work weekends).

I think its also a case of priorities in terms of whats more important to update first, Steam being the bigger money maker (and its customers being more likely to make the most damaging noise which impacts the game companies public image) ... gets the most immediate support attention.
2.09.1 GOG Backup Offline Manual install files went public yesterday .. And 2.09.2 apparently went public soon after, but has yet to catch up on GOG Offline Backup files.

So seeing as I am not helping test the betas anyway due to them not updating via Galaxy, I have no need to have GOG Galaxy installed.

Now reverting to uninstall everything (Games then Galaxy), then re-install games via the Offline Backup Installers which is my preferred setup.
Another big experimental update on Steam, yet we're not seeing it here...Kind of annoyed at this.
Now we just got 2.09.3 release 40 min ago.
And we are once more in sync with Steam.
Feel bad for console, though.

Thank you, HG.
I had submitted support requests to both GOG and Hello Games although I not yet received a response (HG never responds but GOG does). The Experimental branch still not receiving updates.

EDIT: I have also tried cycling Beta Channels On/Off a couple of times and that did not trigger an Experimental update.

.. And the Offline Backup Manual installation files are still at 2.09.1 - Here's hoping we jump straight to 2.09.3 before the weekend :) .. But looking at the time now on a Friday in the UK its 17:53, so I think Manual installation has missed the boat for this week.

At least if the Galaxy Installation is once again moving forward, then it should not be too long before the Manual Installation files catch up. Fingers crossed anyway, if GOG dont have it today, I would imagine next update to the Manual installation will be end of Monday after GOG staff are back in office, or Tuesday.

Its good to be getting all the minor fixes now though, shouldn't be too long before they can hopefully get around to all the extant bug fixes which have not been done yet since before Next :D

FIxes the "trek to the next county to make a landing pad" bug. Yay. Maybe it's finally time to open my "real" saves to see what damage has been done. ;-)

For the consoles, as I understand it (probably not well (and I"m sure I'll be corrected (with this crowd?))) their updates have to come as fully patched multi-gig downloads, so smaller patches like todays 60-ish meg aren't possible.
60-ish MB download?? I went from Exp 52035 to public 52112, and had 4,3 GB download...

HG was quick to release here at GoG this time, just 20 minutes after Steam, with a Steam Exp release just hours in advanced. So HG must have access to some kind of direct upload her at GoG as well, I believe.
Edit: Steam got Exp build 4154325 a few minutes ago. I hope GoG also gets that soon, new Experimental Branch 30/08 post over at Steam.

The stand-alone installers take longer to post because GOG has to write some additional routines. GOG published this information shortly after day 1 release when patches were available within in Galaxy within hours of other platforms getting these but it would take a business day or two to get the stand-alone installers posted on GOG.

Noted that we received an experimental patch today. Not sure when it became available but found it on Galaxy about 9 minutes after Hello Games announced it on Steam.
