I've only been playing online for a little over a month so there is stuff I probably don't know. Since I began this new game we have had the Prism update followed by a patch. The patch required me to update my Nvidia drivers which went ok. I thought the driver update might fix a problem but it didn't. Since the Prisms patch when I go to the Anomaly I'm the only one there just like in the days when I was only playing offline. I seem to be still be in multiplayer mode of some kind though because when I go to some systems there are other people's bases.

Has this happened to other people? What's the solution?

My brother and I noticed the same thing tonight. Couldn't see anyone in the Anomaly, we couldn't even see each other. We did the weekend quicksilver mission separately and finally saw a few people on the mission planet, but we still couldn't see each other. We also can't connect to each other via the multiplayer session due to the local LAN bug, but that's a separate annoying issue. So we weren't able play with each other at all. Hopefully it's just a temporary issue.

At least I'm not the only one! Hopefully there is a solution as well.

Have noted what seems or feels like hundreds of similar questions and threads elsewhere (probably on dozens in reality).

However, something that is conspicuous by absence is if there is any correlation between loss of online services coincident with the problem that you describe. For years this message has always been attributed to being the discovery servers although it might be that the issue being reported covers additional online services or not and therefore additional servers.

Maybe someone else has noticed this or not but if you should see both occurring at the same time it might be worthy of reporting via Zendesk.

Personally I have found having the servers offline often helps reduce the insane messages from the asinine communications balls and number of bases cluttering or even blocking a waypoint. For that reason I will disconnect from the Internet before traveling to any "community" waypoints.

Good Luck
As of yesterday I've started seeing other players on the Anomaly again. How about you Xycor?

Chewywearenothome I'm not sure what kind of online services are you are referring to. As I said I could see other people's bases but not them or their ships.
Just tried it and I can see people in the Anomaly now, but my brother and I still can't see each other when we're in the space station without grouping up. We can still see each other and group up in the Anomaly though so at least it's better.
