win7sp1-offline gaming personal computer.

I get some errors.
MSVC? 140 error and I-1-1-0.dll missing from your computer.

Using offline installers
Is vcredist 2017 required for nms next?

GOG support is lacking a bit lately, I was told to get windows 10.

I'm using Windows 7 and it works fine for me. Don't know if the VCredist 2017 is required but I already had it installed. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the files you need, in any case.

I thought the installers include everything I need to run the game. Do you know which VCredists I require to start the game?

No idea, but I have x86 and x64 versions of 2005, '08, '10, '12, '13, and '17 installed.

I am not 100% on this but I think it's using 2013 and 2017 versions

As far as I know my game installed 2013 and 2017 (I use Galaxy)

I've always used the offline installers too (on Windows 7), and i did have an issue after one of the updates (either Foundation or Pathfinder) where NMS suddenly would not run. It turned out to be the version of Open GL i had installed needed an update for the new version and i had to do that manually.

It sounds like Galaxy gives you all the required files and you will likely need to install that VCredist 2017 yourself?

*Shudder* The day NMS requires i use Windows 10 is the day i stop updating it!

I can't install vcredist 2017 even manually, my 980x isn't supported :(

Installation can take a while, for some reason. Also, you could try x86 before x64.

you sure? Where did you get that info from? here is the minimum system requirements for it:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/productinfo/vs2017-system-requirements-vs

*1.8 GHz or faster processor. Dual-core OR better recommended

So most CPU's people are using will be fine.

Tried it still errors.

Would it just be better to uninstall all vcredists and install them from scratch?
I need offline installers though since my gaming pc is not connected to the internet.

I run NMS on an i7 975 EE, on top of Windows 7 x64. While my guess is probably as good as anyone elses, since I do run a CPU which predates yours for about a year, I'd say it's not about your CPU.

I'd deinstall the 2017 redistributables, as you say, and then reboot, download and install the latest ones from Microsofts site.
Since I'm running Windows x64, I've installed both, the x86 and the x64 distribution.

Edit: Added the reboot after deinstallation ...

just had a look at this page:

https://steamdb.info/app/275850/depots/

And i see it mentions VC 2010, VC 2013 and VC 2017 redist. So check you have those versions installed. You might be stuck dealing with MS support for problem solving your issue, which sucks.
Any chance someone could post direct links for: VC 2010, 2013, 2017?

Mind as well make it a solution even if it doesn't work.
win7 is my last ms product.

I still cannot believe someone at GOG (DRM-FREE) store support would say; or just get windows 10 to fix my issues with game that worked before update!?!

ThorChild got it right -- I've since checked, what nms.exe is linking to, and it pulls in all of these VCREDIST releases.

Guessing from the (partial) error message you posted, it seems like you're missing more than just the 2017 Visual C runtime.

Try the link I posted: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Download and install the Visual Studio 2017, 2013 and 2010 distrubutions, respectively.

While I kind of get, why GOG support might have responded the way they did, I very much agree with you on that not (even remotely) being an acceptable suggestion.
