Has anyone had this problem? Base only protects me in some areas of my base. In other seemingly random areas of the base I have zero protection from the environment.

I've seen discussions that having an open area that's more than two stories high can sometimes allow the weather to appear inside a structure. If that's not it, I'd try rebuilding the roof in case some parts failed to snap properly.

Thanks for your reply. Sadly, It's not more than two stories high. I also tried reroofing the base and it did nothing. Now I am finding major bugs in the game. I mine and get nothing, I use the POI locator or whatever it's called and get nothing (on a new planet, I can stumble on to POI's the locator will use those). I do "missions" that do not complete (the game never updates that I actually did the mission). Basically most of the game does not work. Too bad gog doesn't have a game files checker like steam, the game basically is now just a bug generator dressed up as game. Thank again for your reply.

There is an option to file check the installation -- it's rather hidden though. Look under the "slider controls" (?) widget next to the Play button, then under Manage installation. See screenshot.

The POI scanner is, as I understand it, intentionally not 100%. It's been like that since day one. I guess the devs decided that a scifi game needed some kind of tricorder-like scanner but didn't want to make it too easy.

The base issue isn't a widespread problem; none of my many (too many!) bases allow weather in. It does sound like it's an issue with your installation somehow.

Thanks great info. I noticed it was like you said (2 stories high) in places. Replaced roof at one story high and that did it..
I have 6 bases built in the game with a rather complex design; many of them have free overlap of various elements; cracks often occur in the roof, but this does not lead to a loss of protection under it; I want to protect the game, with the existing number of errors in it, in general, the game works correctly and is much better than other analogues; of course, there are wishes to improve it, but HG rarely hears them; but one day it happened; after the next update, the player stopped sitting on chairs and sofas normally, and hung over them in the air; then I wrote in some topic on the HG twitter channel and a miracle happened; in the next update everything was fine
