The promised announcement from Old Gods came out and stated that Update 1.3 will release this week and will be called Atlas Rises. A specific release date is not mentioned and patch notes will come out shortly after the update is released. The announcement was signed by Sean.

Please note that each of the first two updates were released the day after the pending update was formally announced.

I am sure that the complete text of the announcement will be posted on the ETARC and Game Detectives websites although ETARC will be transitioning in the near future to be the Citizen Science Division (CSD).

Maybe a couple of days later, I'm waiting for another update already released on Steam today. But I'll be that patient... And you were right quite from the start, hat off :) I had my doubts until the 2 in-game pictures came out, and then all was rushing up...
I'm really curious what these Portals are all about, i know they exist already inactively in the current game, but I guess they will be much more than a simple 'shortcut' for planets, that would be too straight-forward to just make HG announce it so big...I think they can do a lot for the story part. Let's see! And hopefully some loooong patch notes with fixes...

It took a bit to get sorted, but generally yes they released the same time on Galaxy. Now standalone installers are another matter, and if it releases late on a Friday expect them not to get them updated until Monday.

1.3 just made it to Steam. Not going to hold my breath but I hope classic installers are available here before the end of the day. :)

Still no update for 1.3 on GOG Galaxy. When is the ETA of its arrival?

It's not up on Steam yet either, seems PS4 got the early release.

Just bought the game again after seeing this update. I had it on GOG at launch but got a refund. Can't wait to play again
