Anyone know what causes it or know how to fix it? Previous ver. of the game was working fine.

Did you delete your existing shader cache at C:\GOG Games\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\SHADERCACHE (or as appropriate for your installation)?

Always recommended when changing video settings and after significant updates.

Yeah, I did delete shaders. So far I can;t figure out whats the problem. I'm suspecting they upped system req. for this or something.

I had this problem in the previous version and it appeared that my saved games were corrupted. All of them.

I could not start the game after the update. The game constantly crashed when loading shaders. This mod helped me run the game:

ATI Radeon HD 6XXX Crash fix

"Prevents the game from crashing during loading screen. It's a temporary glitchy fix until Hello Games takes action. "

I cant post the link. You can find this mod on nomansskymods_com site

Does anyone know if 1.34 works with Radeon HD 6800 series? I haven't seen anything obvious in the patch notes, but I might have missed a relevant technical detail?

I have a HD6870 and there have been no crashes so far (but it is very choppy at times as there is not enough VRAM (1.5GiB or more is required)).

hmm, decisions decisions. I'm currently playing 1.24a with no problems (well, I bit slow, but I have a small monitor, so not too bad) with a HD6850. Unfortunately I don't have the 1.24 a installer to roll back if 1.34 doesn't work. :S
