Has anyone heard or gotten any responses back on 2.23?

I sent a question to GOG and the rep who got back to me said that they forwarded it along to their colleauges. Has anyone else heard anything from GOG or HG regarding 2.23? 5 days out from release.

i wrote them, too, but no response yet.

No news as of yet. The 2.23 patch is listed as a Hotfix on NMS website. So, perhaps they're getting ready to release another regular update and are just holding off. Pure speculation, of course... But we're close to a week from the "PC release" of the patch and nothing here. Same goes for consoles...

edit: I checked this morning, and the 2.23 patch is not installed.

You could update with galaxy but play without it (you also need a internet connection to download the "offline installers"...). I know what you mean, but this may be a reasonable compromise.

sure. But the reason why i came to gog is that i don't need another software.

I have very limited internet and the classic/stand-alone installers are delta patches so they are much smaller than downloading with Galaxy. Also, if I DL with Galaxy, I don't get the stand-alone for backup/re-install. Also for going to a version I want to without relying on Galaxy and only getting the latest version.

Yes but be warned you may never see another official release again
I have been on experimental since before 2.22, never saw the official 2.22 patch download, but went straight into the most recent round of experimental updates. I saw experimental on 29th November, but the two which followed on the 2nd and 3rd Dec did not get downloaded by Galaxy. And as you know here we are waiting still for 2.23, which Galaxy in my case skipped and went straight to Experimental 55189
You can change back from Experimental to Default any time you wish
Backup your save games and settings etc.

okay i think i will stay with my offline Versions for now and wait till we get a new update here (the newest i have is 2.22, 54853)

When going back to the official release version from Experimental there are two things to remember:
1. You will have to download the entire game (I have gone back from Experimental twice and each time it required the full download). Some have indicated download limits or bandwidth restrictions.
2. Your save from Experimental will probably not be compatible. You would either have to copy a previous save or start over.

The CDN is sketchy as hell though, it falls back to 50KB/s for part 3.

Because they're talking about the offline installers/patches. They're not using Galaxy.
