In-game, uncheck the 'Enable Environment Shadows on Characters' in options. Also, if you have an ATI card, update (or roll back) drivers and/or enable Catalyst AI.

In that case it may be a driver issue. Try switching drivers, ie. update if you haven't, or roll back to older drivers if you have. Sometimes drivers behave in odd ways between versions, and often people find one driver gives them grief where another does not.

Rolled back the driver for the only other available driver and its still appearing.

Why do you say it's the only other available? It is not.

368.39 and 368.25 are the only drivers for the 1080 and since one has to be installed and other is the only option

I see. Maybe it is as you said, and the 1080 (and the drivers) don't get along with NWN's non-standard OpenGL. Old games often don't get along with new hardware.
installed NWN on my laptop and its working fine, except for some reson my keyboard does not work while in game.
