The Changelog for the update says "fixed issues with the Serial Tool not working correctly." So... do I download anything, or did they just fix something with the More->Serial Keys feature on the site itself?

I was wondering the same thing. I recently downloaded my entire GOG collection (419gb) and see that they have condensed the files with this update. I am wondering whether I need to download it again or not.
I thought I was the Serial Tool. :D

I wish my new pc would get here so I can let loose and play this damn thing! :P

Serial keys can be changed manually, but if you want the updated tool then you need the whole thing. Also, I don't know what the problems were with the old tool.
Trying to redownload it with the downloader gives me chunk errors.
I haven't yet had a chance to play this game. It's just been sitting on my hard drive for the last few years.

Do I need to update if I'm only going to play single player, or is this just a multiplayer thing?

I'm a bit confused about the changelog message and to redownload the whole thing is a massive drain on my poor internet connection.
I don't know why every "update" that shows in your Library doesn't have an already made forum entry saying exactly what the update is!

If you don't know you could download the whole game again, just to find out later 5 pages have been added to the manual!

It's seriously annoying. The change-log entry is useless, I don't know if I need to kill my internet quota re-downloading the whole game or not.

It's a multiplayer thing. Single player uses a generic key.

For single player mode, no need to get the update.
For multiplayer mode, you can copy & paste the serial keys into your .ini, you don't need Serial Tool, so again, no need to update.
