I would like to go through the NWN1 campaigns as a Sorcerer-Druid-Shifter. I am a well-versed PnP D&D player, so I know that these classes do not mesh together very well at all in terms of mechanics (for example, every level of druid or shifter is a level of sorcerer lost, which equates to lower maximum spell level and so on). Nonetheless, I really like the concept of an innate arcane caster coupled with a heavy emphasis on shifting (and at least 5 levels of Druid are needed to enter into the Shifter class).
So, I would like to inquire with the NWN1 veterans... is this viable at all? Much as I like the concept, I know the mechanics just don't sit together well, and I wouldn't want to be stuck, utterly unable to progress. Nonetheless, if it merely makes it difficult but still viable (I guess that depends on how difficult the game is with more standard character builds), I am going to go for it. Thoughts?
