I'm playing NWN1, currently around the start of chapter 2, and level 9.

The past couple of levels have been boring so I went to check and see what abilities I'm supposed to get at what time. From what I've read, I'm supposed to have gotten second-level spells by now if my Wisdom is high enough. My Wisdom is an unmodified 13 and has been since chargen. Did I stumble into some kind of obnoxious glitch, or is what I'm reading wrong? And if it's wrong, what *is* spell progression for a Paladin in this game?

A level 9 Paladin doesn't have any second level spell slots by default unless you have 14+ Wisdom. You'll get your first second level spell slot at level 10. You can also check here if you want to see what kind of ability scores you need for bonus spell slots.

Ahh. That makes sense. Thanks, and thanks for the wiki link. GameFAQs is a lot more hit or miss.

(I'm /really/ glad it's not a glitch. I'm getting other minor glitches I don't care about, so I had to wonder.)
