Thiev: Ideally, you would need only that dll file (but pay attention to error messages, something else might also be causing errors)

I uploaded file that worked on my brother's Dell notebook. Here's MediaFire link. Drop it to NWN folder.

Besides that, I can't really be much more of a help. Without ATI card, I cannot test myself which drivers work. Hopefully someone with one will step in.

Edit: After weekend, send ticket to GOG support. Their response time got better lately and they might have other ideas.

Thrillseeker: Yep, I just tried to run NWN on my ATI 4670 card with WIn 7-64. It kept exiting out without running, and when I used the "configure" utility, it kept telling me I didn't have OpenGL drivers installed.

I tried switching back to AMD/ATI driver 10.1, and then driver 11.6. No difference either case.

When I switched to running NWN as administrator (right click --> properties --> compatibility --> run as administrator) it seemed to get a step farther before it crashed, so this seemed to be helpful.

Then I remembered that NWN had a fix that used to work, so I tried it. Basically you need to run the toolset and load a module, and for some reason it forces the load of a driver that allows the main game to run.

Here's the full thing that worked for me:

1) run as administrator (see above)
2) run the game and select "toolset"
(it may run minimized, check for icon at bottom of screen)
3) select file-->open--> then choose first file from list
4) click "open", then "yes"
5) click on the menu "build" then "test module"
the module should load and you should be able to see your character on screen
6) hit "escape" then "exit to main menu" then completely exit from program
7) make sure you are exited from the toolset (it may be minimized to an icon)
8) NWN should work properly now

Btw, I have it running fine using ATI driver 11.6, and it's still telling me I don't have OpenGL drivers in the configure thingey. So it doesn't seem related to which ATI driver or OpenGL driver you are using.

Thiev: OpenGL error then. I don't have ATI card myself, I won't be able to replicate it.

A long stretch, but grab file from here, unpack it to NWN directory and try running game again.
(and disable Catalyst AI, if it's still possible with that drivers)

thelovebat: Unfortunately I've tried every possible solution in this thread and not a single one of them has worked. I have an ATI Radeon HD 5700 graphics card, Windows 7 Home Premium Dell computer.
