Hello!

The front page of GOG's site says it is 50% off, but the store page says it is 25% off. I refreshed the store page, and it was 50% off. I bought it, and out of curiosity I went back the store page. It was 25% again. I have absolutely no idea what is happening, but if you want 50% off, keep switching between the front page and the store page, and maybe you'll get it.

Edit: Not sure if it helps, but I've included some pics. They were taken within 30 seconds of each other.

Another problem... Just bought and installed the game. Do you still have to go through all the hassle to get a CD key?
I bought the game through Galaxy, as the web page it was misleading. It's 25% off and an extra 25% off if you own the Diamond version.

But the Deluxe edition was 66% off for me, so I bought the Deluxe

Just add to your cart and it goes deeper discount if you own diamond.
I'm having an issue too. Trying to get on multiplayer and it's asking for a CD Key ... what gives? I don't think I ever had that issue with Diamond.

Not sure how to get there on Galaxy since I use Linux, but on the website if you go to your games library and click on NWN EE and click more, there's an option for serial keys. You'll find your key under there.

I made a seperate post about the CD key, since that subject is off topic for this thread. I don't mind going off topic, I just thought that it would be better to make a different thread.

So GoG is supposed to be DRM free. Yet they now sell games that require a CD key.

Now? The DIamand Edition required a CD key for multiplayer as well. Nothing has changed.

I played the GoG version of the Diamond edition MP with a friend this summer. Didn't need any cd keys at all.

That's weird, but you should take a look at the sticky CD-KEY info thread. I remember having trouble with the CD-KEY because you had to request them personally by contacting support. And it would not be stored on your account, so you had to keep the email.

Maybe they shut down the authentication server? I remember that you could play on a LAN using the same CD-KEY if you prevented the game from contacting that server.

We had both bought it on GoG back in the day and we decided to play the game itself co-op. We used Gameranger to play it. It never asked for any CD key from either of us.

The CD key identifies the player so that we who run servers can ensure that ONLY that player has access to the PCs they create. Lacking some identifier, miscreants and hackers would soon get into your characters (by simply giving your username) and I think we both understand what sort of mischief that would follow.

You are incorrect. Multiplayer NWN Diamond edition DOES require CD keys (I am a server admin since 2006). A server _can_ be setup to not require unique keys (especially if run across a LAN since) but lacking a requirement for unique CD keys, there is nothing to prevent miscreants from logging in on your username and mucking up your PCs while you are logged out.

Well it worked fine via GameRanger.

You were playing over the LAN option, try connecting to one of the persistant worlds out there with your pal and you´ll see that you need your CD keys again.
NWN internet multiplayer always worked like that, for 20 years now.
