Gavindale: I made a couple characters for the original Neverwinter Nights, and I started playing them. I save my games but when I come back to the game, my saved characters are gone. They seem to be deleted every time I turn off my computer. Can someone help me?
Almost all issues with save games being deleted are related to the GoG galaxy client.
IMO, anyone playing NWN should stay far away from GoG galaxy. Don't use it to install or launch NWN.
If it is not GoG galaxy it is likely a misunderstanding on how NWN works.
I have played this game since 2003, for over a 1000 hours of playtime.
It does not delete save games or saved characters, unless the user deletes them with a delete command or over-writes them using the same name to save under.
Note that NWN only has ONE quicksave slot. Unlike many modern games that create unique (multiple) save files for each time you manually save, every time you quicksave in NWN you overwrite your old quicksave, so there is only one.
