edit -- Yes, I realize that this is a topic that someone else had necroed. This most is entirely for the benefit of anyone that is still wondering if NWNEE is worth getting if they already have Diamond.

It isn't just the ability to legally play the premium modules that gives EE an edge over Diamond.

Some of the free modules on the NWVault have improved EE versions that are better than their Diamond versions:
- Siege of Shadowdale
- Crimson Tides of Tethyr
- The Lord of Terror 2 (which is a remake of The Lord of Terror)
- Eye of the Beholder 1 & 2
- Against the Cult of the Reptile God

If you enjoyed The Aielund Saga, someone started a sequel series (After Aielund) that is for NWNEE.

There's an EE version of Almraiven + Shadewood available, which I haven't played as I don't really play evil wizards. There's an EE version of The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh that I haven't gotten to yet.

When it comes to the premium modules, the best of the EE modules really is Tyrants of the Moonsea. The canceled premium version is only about half the module plus contains a gamebreaking bug. There's dialogue that was incredibly awkward and strange early on in this module IF you're playing an elf race (in that you can insult a half-elf by calling him an elf when you should be calling him a human) that was fixed in the EE premium version.

If you're into using overrides and hak patches...

- Another Hands Override (EE Only) expands on Kurairyu's Hands so that characters look like they have a better grip on their weapons than Kurairyu's but without the default mitten hands.

- There's several EE specific weapon overrides, such as WouldBeBard's low magic weapon series and Bill Harper's HD weapons. Miqail's Enhanced Mage Staffs almost make me want to play a wizard... or I'll just continue to fake it as a rogue. Twinkle & Icingdeath Scimitars look nice if you're into scimitars.

- MervySh has released placeables that can be used as overrides that improve the look of closets, weapon racks, chests, kegs, and barrels.

- Coastal Sand and Grass textures with fancymaps (PBR) makes the sand on the beaches look like someone trampled all over it as opposed to the default beach sand that looks like it was neatly smoothed out.

- While using the entire Reborn UI can cause gamebreaking bugs in some modules, this EE only GUI is still worth downloading just for all the class, skill, and spell icons because they are colorized and look really good.

- There's an EE specific community project called HR Base that improves on DMFI and HCR. It includes systems for climbing, jump, swim, handle animal, and other stuff. There's additional feats and spells. I don't know any modules that are using this system yet.

- The True Vision and Light EE override produces some very nice results when mixed with NWNCQ.

- Prestige Spellbook Pack Enhanced Edition calls itself a patch to give actual spellbooks to the Harper Scout, Assassin and Blackguard classes.
