I have a problem with the toolset for NWN 1, not EE.
On my old computer where I had nwn installed about 3 years ago the "open module" dialog had a checkbutton for normal module or campaign module.
Now I have reinstalled nwn on my new computer and this checkbox is missing.
So I want to know:
1) Why is this missing?
2) Can I reactivate this checkbox?
or 3) How else can I edit the regular campaign?

I don't know why that might be, but just to be sure we are talking about the same thing, for me, it is below the open dialog. See the screenshot.

Did you install the game in Progam Files or Program Files (x86) directory?

Of course not! I'm not that stupid.

:) Verzeihen Sie mir, bitte!

It's been a quite some time since I've been modding NWN, so my memory might be playing games with me, but I think I had to change file extensions for campaign modules to be recognised by the toolset. Or move them to a different directory. Something like that.

I found something interesting and I think it is what you are looking for. NWN Wikipedia says that
you need to UNLOCK the modules first.

You (and I) probably see it because we had finished the game before. You can't see it now because you did a fresh install.

And here it says that you have to edit the nwnplayer.ini file if you need a quick access.

-----------------------
CODEWORD=hacktastic
This line unlocks the modules of the original campaign. The possible values for this code word (in order of progress through the campaign) are rangersandhamsters, gnomelover, andiwantapony, chimpfactor5, notzesty, setinjello, and hacktastic.
-----------------------

As a reference, MY OWN nwnplayer.ini file starts like this
---------------
[Game Options]
CODEWORD=hacktastic
CODEWORD XP1=ffrodriguez
CODEWORD XP2=barkeater
....
----------
Thanks. That's it. Adding the lines to the ini file allows me to open all campaign modules. It also explains why in my previous installation I could only access the modules for the original campaign. I've never finished SoU or HotU.
Question is why did they do it like this?
I am glad it worked. :)
