Greetings,

Folks, is there a way to scale up the UI at higher resolutions?
I currently play it at 1920 x 1080, and it's very small. In fact, in causes headaches after a while. The only thing I managed to find is to check "Use high resolution font" in game options, but that does not help much.
I'm not looking to lower resolution just to do that, and I'm not the best when it comes to NWN mods.

If there is such a mod, could you please point me in the right direction and throw in an advice on how to install a mod?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!
I don't know of any, this is why I play in 800x600 resolution.
2560x1440 resolution and got headache after less than 30minutes of playing. Can't play with other resolutions because the screen gets even smaller and black bars come all around.

What OS? VID Card?

That sounds very odd. This video was recorded at 800x600 (actual monitor is 1680x1050): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUGUXkssxdI
Unfortunately, all links pointing out to mods that might help out are dead. It seems most of them lead to NWN Vault, which is down.

Maybe someone who reads this can re-upload them (assuming they have them, ofc)?

Windows 7 and GTX 970.

800x600 didn't work either. Same problem as before.

edit. MagicalMaster, that looks like it should. Borders are fine as long as the screen actually gets bigger and you can see.

nwn Vault is up for me currently

Might help.

Might help.
Thank you.

I must note however that the font can be bearable more or less, but tiny windows (all windows in this game) make it much worse.
I tried 800x600 / 1024x768, even lower widescreen resolutions, but it's a bit hard to downgrade the graphics, after I played it on 1920x1080. It looks beautiful at higher resolutions, no doubt about that.
I image it looks gorgeous on retina displays.

I found this as I am also looking for a solution to this issue it might help but I haven't tried it as I am not at home.

Thank you again.

While I don't exactly like the way it looks like (I really love default UI), I think all it does is to change the design part, but not the scaling problem.
Oh well, I suppose I'll have to play it like this.
I have had this problem on my laptop ever since I got it. I tried all sorts of things to fix it but I couldn't get the game to scale properly. I could either run the game in a huge resolution and it was hard to read, or I could run the game in a window and it was still hard to read. It seemed to be a problem specifically with Intel Iris-based onboard graphics cards but I've heard of some other people having similar issues with other cards. ANYWAY, I finally found what I think will fix the forced resolution issue for most people (or at least people on Iris cards, e.g. Macs running Bootcamp).

1. Make sure you get the latest Intel drivers. A more recent update seems to be a key factor. I am using version 15.36.23.4251 from here

2. Open the Intel Iris Graphics Control Panel from the system tray, go to the Display section and make sure that Scale Full Screen and Override Application Settings are enabled.

3. Make a new shortcut on your desktop for nwmain.exe. I had a problem with changing Galaxy's shortcut because it kept reverting to its original form.

4. Enable "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" in the Compatibility tab of the shortcut you created.

5. Open nwn.ini in the root of the NWN Diamond folder and modify the Width and Height values under [Display Options] to the desired resolution. You might not need to do this but it won't hurt. Save before closing.

6. Open the game from the shortcut you created in step 3.

The game should run in whatever resolution you want now so you can deal with UI scaling issues on high-density displays. I am on a 2560x1600 display but I'm running the game in 1280x800 and it looks great. I previously was unable to play it because of the UI being so small and hard to read.

Right Click on your desktop.

Select: "NVidia Control Panel"

Under Display, Select: "Adjust Desktop Size and Position"

Under Scaling, Select: "Aspect Ratio"

Under Perform Scaling on, Select "GPU"

That should get rid of the black bars and give full screen game at lower resolutions.
