PeterScott: It's not just the features count it how extensive the features themselves.
The whole package It's nothing like an official NWN expansion that gave a whole new 20 hour high quality campaign, several new character classes, new feats, skills, etc...
Simply raising the limit on texture size isn't exactly a big feature, it probably changing one variable in the code. Weeks to develop that.
As far as bugs fixed, how important were they in fhe first place, compared to the module breaking bugs they introduced?
Fix some trivial bug (likely picked up community fixes already available), and introduce module breaking bugs is not a net gain.
FYI the bug you mention was patched, about a week before you made this post. The whole package It's nothing like an official NWN expansion that gave a whole new 20 hour high quality campaign, several new character classes, new feats, skills, etc...

PeterScott: And there are more issues. Tile sets breaking with EE now. Switched Video format support, so old modules with old video formats no longer supported.
So much for backward compatibility.
These aren't things they plan to fix in EE. After breaking compatibility, they expect the community will update old modules/tile sets to work with EE.
Tilsets breaking are bugs that are being reported and fixed. So I don't know how it got included on your "Things that they don't plan to fix". So much for backward compatibility.

As for movies, it's a shame, but it had to be done due to licencing issues. For those few modules that actually do have movie files, there are plenty of converters on the net, so it's not quarter the problem you're making it out to be.

Now years later, I picked it up on sale, after the latest big new patch.
It's still a disappointment. It's amazing how little progress has been made in these years. Very glad I paid a fraction of the new price.
The tacked on visual "enhancements" are still garbage. They look worse than the original, Just excess saturation, contrast, sharpening, out of place DOF blur, and weird lighting that wasn't designed for.
Also on older and/or weaker computers (mine), the new lighting absolutely crushes performance.
So in the end, visuals are pointless and performance robbing.
UI improvements. Years later, and still all they really did was integer scaling of the current UI, and 2X is too big for 1080p. Looks ugly and low res, because it is. Couldn't even be bothered to add a higher resolution font. Heck at least some community members did some font patches. I figured that was one simple addition they could easily do, to improve legibility. But no. A font is too much work.
Basically if Diamond works, this brings nothing to the experience.
Though if you want to play online (I don't) then Servers seem to be converting so you might not have much choice.
