I absolutely do not want to look like an ungrateful brat, whining about details, but I probably will. Forgive me!
To me, I feel the NWN2 price is off, the 25% saving offer feels like it should be the normal price.

The game (original campaign) is still a scary beast with bugs and holes the size of those expected from any Elder Scrolls game on release. This is not like the NWNDE where time healed many of the wounds (with patches), and made anyone late to pick up the title have a generally good time.
Adding to that, the disturbing lack of extras. From games like these I expect a massive amount of goodies to draw from, and while the GOG NWN release is lacking, at least it had the "full" soundtrack at a less offensive price.

While I don't expect the price to go down, I don't know the deal behind it, I hope that we will see a better offer on the extras to motivate the price tag.

Also, where are my Dune games?! *smilyface*

NWN2 Complete is available at a number of sites for $30 standard.

NWN Complete on GOG is $10, NWN2 Complete on GOG is $20 = $30.

You get the extras with the GOG versions as well as DRM-free. It's still the best deal you can get.

Of all the games on GOG, it's not really fair to claim Neverwinter Nights 2 doesn't offer enough content for the price. The campaigns add up to 150+ hours easily, not even counting replays. Yes there are bugs, but these are greatly exaggerated given the sheer size of the games - after the official patches, the games are totally fine, some small (and avoidable) issues notwithstanding. And I've never seen the bugginess of a game be treated anywhere as grounds for a discount.

I think the price is good, it's basically 4 games, and extras are neat too (3 beautiful complete soundtracks). Want to see which game on GOG is overpriced? This. Play your NWN 2 with both expansions which you already own and meanwhile wait for a better promo to buy it here :) Like 50% for example.

Mysteries of Westgate?
It's a good city adventure, but I'm not sure if you'll find the value there.
I bought it for what it sold when it came out and was happy enough, but that's me.

I can see the concern, having seen the package go for a tenner or so on steam sale,
but it's still a heck of a lot of game even for the regular price of 20 bucks. (which is a bit high for a GOG game, but a steal otherwise)

I already own NWND and, as is the case for most games I buy on GOG, mostly for the convenience of DRM removed or the fact that I don't need to fear for my floppy discs or CDs. In most cases I don't care that I'm actually paying for a game I already own, simply because of that. But all the rest comes down to whether or not there is something sprinkled on top. This is the case with NWND, not NWN2. The 3 soundtracks offered might as well have been zero. I expect a manual, and anyone with access to a search engine can find more wallpapers and avatars than they need.

I'm not saying there isn't much game content, but many games offer equivalent gametime with fewer bugs. Using that argument, I'd have to pay hundreds of $ for TTD, Fallout, FF7, Minecraft, etc. Sure, I've come to expect certain developers to release unpolished games, but the bugs are not exaggerated - some will experience fewer or even none, some will experience many. It's nice that most game breaking bugs have been fixed, though.
I'm not asking for a discount, I'm pointing out a typical reason for games to hit the bargain bin, and comparing NWN with NWN2, the latter is not twice the value - not in game time, quality or quantity of content, or extras.

This is not a "GOG, you suck!", it's a "Please, GOG, would you please improve this?". Even if you find something perfectly fine, doesn't mean it can't be even better. And GOG has delivered before. Keep the price, make it worth it. And that's just my opinion. But... it's GOTY! Surely? No? : )

The expansions are both better than the original campaign, imho, and were well worth their own prices at the time - even if just to motivate the initial buy of NWN2. But as you touch on, it's an unorthodox price for GOG, and my issue isn't really with the game alone, but the combination of price, possible double buy of original (somewhat crappy) NWN2, and hardly any GOG candy to take the edge off. But as I said, I don't want to whine, it just might sound like it.

Put it on your wishlist and wait a couple of years

If I can prevent myself from buying it, I sure will wishlist it. Perhaps I was just hoping that GOG would force my hand by making me want to buy it with a little more candy. That's how my brain works, put sugar on something and I'll buy it again : )

Same here. I already own the entire thing and have it installed on my rig, but if this hits a really bargain basement price on GOG, I'll grab it here as well.

Isaris, I'm not sure I agree with you about more candy (I mean, sure more would be good, but I don't think it's vital). For someone that doesn't own this series, what's being offered by GOG is still damned good value. The bugs, as noted earlier, are exaggerated. That's not to say there aren't any bugs, as there most certainly are, but the most egregious of them have been fixed. As well, if you do own most of this series, then the best idea is what Tallamir said: wait until it's on deep discount to get the rest.

On a side note, I wonder if MoW will ever again be available to buy on its own.

Yea, as of latest release its fairly debugged on OC and MOTB.. SoZ is more buggy then them but still playable.
The game was unplayable on v1, utter mess... but it has come a long way since then

As with many buggy games, that really depended on what you did in the game, I think. I played NWN2 OC on release and got through it without issues (I ran into some minor irritations, but no show-stoppers). But I know a lot of people complained about how buggy it was.

Same with SoZ. I have few issues with it. But yeah, fully patched it's a very playable and enjoyable series of games.

Generally speaking yes... but NWN2 in particular was an exception in that at v1 a little into the main plot of the OC you encountered an NPC, a druidess who followed you around. The game would then refuse to exit cutscene mode and had to be terminate.

This particular bug occurred 100% of the time to 100% of the people (who played before a patch was released that is). IIRC they did fix it fairly quick so you might not have encountered it due to playing a patched version.

Also they had some serious bugs elsewhere... hardware support, scripting, crashes...
But yea, right NOW those issues are a thing of the past. The game isn't completely bug free but what it has are minor issues (for OC and MOTB), and not so minor but still work around-able issues for SoZ

I don't consider GOG to be just any outlet, I come here for more of the same, as the name of GOG implies. But because GOG is selling games that many already own, they've taken a very nice step to reward repeat buyers with extras that they might not own or is unavailable elsewhere. If just for the price, I can buy many of the newer games even cheaper and get a physical copy. But GOG promises easy access and pre-removed DRM (legal to do myself in Sweden anyway, but a problem elsewhere), which I gladly pay a little extra for.
It might not be vital to everyone, but to me it is - and I'm not demanding, I'm asking politely.

Because of how MoW was originaly sold and the power of time, I doubt we'll see a standalone or better way than bundled with re-releases, and never cheaper even if.
