So I installed the game and tried to save - game says it saved a file but then when I try to load theres no save file to load.
I looked around a bit and did everything I could find -
* running as Admin
* gave full permissions to all uses
* excluded the game directory from windows defender
* created a shortcut to the save folder in the shortcut
* changed the save location in the ini file
nothing works - the game will not save.
The game wont even create a save directory - I had to create one on my own.
Both NWN DE and NWN EE have no problems saving games on this PC

Weird thing is on my laptop i had the same problem but once i created a save folder it was all good.

Using windows 10 home 64 bit

I suspect that your documents folder has been set to One Drive and the game can't access it.
If this is the case, you can go into One Drive and move the documents folder back to your C: drive.
Or you can add a -home switch to your NWN2 shortcut and tell it where to put your saves.
Leave a space after the nwn2.exe" and put -home then change the E:\Documents in my pic, to where you want the saves to go.
The path goes inside the " "

The documents folder was indeed directed to OneDrive, however even after moving it out and setting the -home switch im still not able to save the game

If you have your documents folder now in C:\Users\Username\Documents\ (where the game expects it to be)
Then you don't need the -home switch, by default the game will save in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\saves

If you remove the -home switch, does it create a Neverwinter Nights 2 folder in the C:\Users\Username\Documents\ folder?

So apparently my documents folder didnt change location, i stopped the sync to OneDrive and after that all is well and the game has no problem saving (still running as admin with full security settings)
