Im trying to install this game on my mac that has all the requirements but im not sure how i should go about installing it. Does gog nwn support macs or is there anywhere else other than amazon that i can get nwn for mac?
Ok, i happened to find a torrent and now have the files needed by something called a torrent. The only problem is that macs cant run torrents. Does anyone know what program can open a torrent on a mac?
check this post if you didn't already: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/187/index/3158903

see point 3.09, they say there's no diamond edition for mac and the best option would probably be to run a windows version (the one from gog) in some kind of emulator.

Good torrent clients for mac are and [url=http://www.transmissionbt.com/download/]transmission. Note that you might be talking about piracy, *shrug*
Don't pirate the game. Your mac can run a windows operating system. Just dual boot an old windows XP disc onto your mac. Then you can download the GoG version.

The windows version is better anyway. Mac doesn't support the toolset.
I am running a retail Windows version on my Mac. Neverwinter Nights works really nice with Wine; more speciffically I am using Wineskin, which lets me wrap everything up in a custom made "Mac version".

Two downsides remain: The very first intro vido does not work (no big loss, the other videos work) and the toolset does not work. So if you want to make your own adventures you will have to install Windows on your Mac.

You can get Wineskin here:

There are isntructions on the site, and you should be able to find a few YouTube videos demonstrating how to port.

He had a legal copy that wouldn't work on his machine. He found files to make it work on his machine. This probably falls under fair use, since he owns a copy of the game.

No. No it does not. Even if you ignore the fact that it's usually illegal to redistribute a game even when you own it (which it is), the Mac version of Neverwinter Nights is a separate product with a separate publisher who ported it. So it's definitely piracy.

To the OP: buy Windows and install it with Bootcamp if you want to play GOG games on a Mac. You might have luck with Crossover as well. Please don't pirate things or talk about pirating things on here.

Different courts rule differently, but where I live people who could prove they owned a game and downloaded a backup copy or whatever have been ok in court. That's a good point about the Mac, though - I forgot about that. >.<
