The Wanderer and Birthright of the North (not sure if the second is spelled correctly). Both are massive open-world Bethesda-styled RPG's.

Plural: The Community Expansion Pack.

Described here: http://nwn.bioware.com/players/cep.html

However, none of the download links you can get to from here seem to be working. I found a working one here: http://games.softpedia.com/get/Mods-Addons/Neverwinter-Nights-Community-Expansion-Pack.shtml
Rep given for being first to post this, the CEP is truly great!

For those playing online, I also recommend the Gnomish Log Rotator utility, which saves the contents of your chat window to a unique file for each play session. Very useful for heavy-RP servers, or figuring out just what kind of damage a particular monster is most susceptible to.

Also for those unused to this type of online play, note that various servers will use various sets of hak packs that you will need to download and install in your hak folder.
Does Kingmaker come included with the setup by default, or do we have to download the Kingmaker installer file separately?
NWvault seems to be up again!

CalamityRanger: I have to find these modules... <3 Do you have the name handy by chance? :D

robobrien: I just tried looking round the IGN site to see if anything jumped out and kickstarted my brain, but i can't seem to bring up the module lists.

Will have another quick look.
In the world [url=http://www.ysgard.org/]Hala you can play a drow, and the ability modifiers are permanent too.

robobrien: Yeah both you and LordCinnamon have found it.

The place is easy to navigate and find just the kind of rpg your after. The Eye Of Beholder remakes are pretty cool and there are a series of linked modules where you play a Drow that i loved.

I'm sure someone will start a Favourite Module thread shortly :) (My memory sucks)

In case you missed his post, Malkh came up with the module, A Hunt Through The Dark.
You can't beat a bit of Drow rpg action!

malkh: I think you mean A HUNT THROUGH THE DARK series. It has six parts if memory serves me correctly.

I'll also recommend the modules Alraiven & Shadewood as well as Tortured Hearts 1 & 2.
I can recommend the a hunt through the dark series. They are pure genious.

Could anybody give me some pointers for some good 'bridge' modules between SoU and oTU?

I've spent so many RPGs playing as a fake drow (just in color scheme and of course in my head :P) that I'm always made so happy finding out about games\mods where I actually can be a proper drow! :D Thank you both for letting me know about this series. I'll be poking around the vault when I get home from work tonight.

There are at least The Nether Scrolls module and Shadohaunt module. Personally I've only played Shadohaunt. Been a few years though and I have to say that I don't remember that much from it.
Here is a good place to start for downloadable modules:

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Modules.HOF

That is the hall of Fame on Neverwinter Vault. Just going through those should take a ton of time...

One of my favorite modules for NWN is Hex Coda --> http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Modules.HOF&category_show_all=1
