Hello everyone!

I'm trying to lure the manticore into the trap room. Trip told me how to do it but when I try to pull aggro on the manticore he just stays put - almost like he knows what's up.

And how are you trying to "pull aggro"?

Hickory: And how are you trying to "pull aggro"?
Tried a few things.

1) Make myself visible to him and hope that he chases me into the room

2) Shoot him in the face with a crossbow bolt and hope he chases me into the room

3) Smack him in the face with an axe and hope he chases me into the room

No matter what strategy I choose he would just fire his missile battery into my character and after that he just sits there. He's like those apathetic cats who don't care about anything.

I used the ranged option. I found that it takes more than one hit to get the manticore to take the bait.

1. In addition to shooting a crossbow, the DRUID can cast 'one with the land' before entering the manticore room
2. Have 2 poisons in each barrel. *It might not be necessary to have 2, it is just what I did for "good measure'.
Also, I believe the smashed containers left a poison so maybe you only need 1 in each barrel.

3. Use 'One With The Land' on your character.
4. Use Charm Animal on the Manticore at level 5. In fact I was 1 level drained when I did it.
5. Have the manticore follow as a hireling to the gas room and told it to 'stand your ground' and then
pull the lever near the exit. I received 500 xp.
