I was downloading last night checked it when it finished this morning. Installed game booted it up everything is fine.
Tried to make a multiplayer account says no CD key registered. There is also no place to input the keys GOG put in my game download. I've looked up several fixes on google and other game forums. Apparently you need to check a particular .ini and input the codes... However I don't have that .ini so what do I do to fix this? Where can I create an account to register this game?

I bought a copy for myself and gifted one to my Fiance so i'd really like to get my moneys worth and play the game I paid for.

Tried re installing the game by deleting everything I had downloaded. Still the same result. When I locate the NWN2 game on my primary drive under users/documents the NWN2 folder is only 8.16 KB in size. Is this the wrong folder? This is the 2nd installation and download i've done and the folder is the same size in the same location. Without the CD
.ini.
**** EDIT *****

Found correct folder found cd key .ini entered them in. However I created a new account

and this shows up
Authorizing server down : skipping auth
Could not connect to master server some multiplayer services may not be available.

Is this a CD key issue or just because servers are shut down? I read you can directly connect. Just would like to test it some how.

Hey, yes the online servers for the game are down, did you want to play the game locally or over the internet? If locally just find each others game on LAN, if you want to play over the internet, you'll have to make sure whoever hosting ports are open in the router, and then the other player needs to connect to your IP, which you can get from http://www.whatismyip.com/.

if you need any more detailed help on this just ask, sorry if I misjudged what you want.
Thanks so much for response. Probably just locally for now. Just wanted to make sure my CD keys are valid. Read several topics and support claims of players from GOG. They all said they obtained generic keys and needed replacements. Is this still the issue or has GOG sent out correct cd keys. Also thank you!

If you look in your My Account page for NWN 2 you'll see a bunch of keys in the lower left hand corner once you click on the game's box. If you have a problem with those keys, please write to Support and we'll fix you right up :D.
When you first install the game it will have generic CD-Keys, you need to replace them with the ones on the GOG website, to find them just go to your game cabinet, and click On Neverwinter Nights 2, replace them with the ones in the cd key ini file you have. There is also a program you have can access from the start menu, called CD Key Changer (I think) that was installed with NWN 2 that will do this for you.

I could be wrong on this sorry, I've yet to actually install the GoG version of NWN2, this answer is based off of the threads I've read here.
I am having the same problem. I am trying to play LAN with my brother and sister but I'm having problems just getting past the Multiplayer Login screen. It won't let me do anything. It just keeps saying, "Error: Your CD key is unregistered, please go to *atari.com website page that doesn't exist*".

I don't understand how so many people on so many forums keep saying that you can get past this. I see no way past...
How about for NWN original? Where are the Unique CD Keys located there and is it the same .ini file?

You have to contact support and ask for them, you don't get them automatically

You can run notepad as administrator, or move the ini to you desktop, edit it there & move it back.

I definitely cannot find my keys for NWN2 and cannot get into Multiplayer as a result.
