To find the other settings: right click nwmain.exe properties > compatability
that is some fancy win 7 stuff we don't have that back in the xp sp 3 world LOL
I can deactivate visual themes but as the game works for now I'll hold of on that till it stall again

facepalm - I didn't realise you're on XP SP3 and not running compatibility mode...

NP I actually like XP better than any other platform its is not an old machine so I haven't upgraded to win 7 yet. My gf has win 7 and I am not complete of the idea as of yet I only hate how much room and processor it takes to get the job done ;)

one of the main reasons I joined up here at GOG was because I couldn't get my old cd deluxe version running so I thought better save up for the item here. Then some nice person (cbean85) gifted it to me and lo and behold now with the help of this great community I am not only playing NVN but a better more upgraded version than I ever had so fantastic. Next to save for is NVN 2 ;)

I finally got rid of the intense lag by renaming the launcher. Despite trying the fixes for the invisible character here I haven't had any luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
