I didn't really want to get involved in Neeshka and her old partner Leldon's competition. But it looks like the dialogues forced me to accept the quest.

How do I abandon the quest?

I think that you only need to avoid to come to the mansion where the steal will take place.

Yes. But I want to remove the quest from my Journal. Anyway, I have progressed to Act III and Blacklake has disappeared from the world map so I'm unable to go to that mansion anymore.

You can't abandon the quest, you can only not complete it (uncompleted quests will remain in your journal).
