So I'm running a dwarf monk/RDD through the OC. The build is kind of trash and isn't helped by the fact I totally forgot I'd be dealing with a 20% XP penalty. I figured that I could at least cheat and periodically reward myself with the XP I was losing with the penalty. My plan was after each level-up, I'd just give myself the extra XP I would have gotten over the course of that level. For example, during the jump from 28k to 36k to get to 9th level, it takes 8k XP. Without the penalty, I would have actually earned 10k XP, so I wanted to use the console to add that extra 2k. This worked fine the first time I tried it when I hit my 8th character level and added 1750 XP. This time, I'm trying to give myself the 2k, but every time I try, it's giving me 9,629,000. Anyone have any guess what I might be doing without realizing it or why this is happening?

It's been way too long since my last playthrough, but if the XP command isn't giving the results you want, isn't there a straight up level up command that can be used?

Sorry I can't solve your current issue, but hopefully that's a decent alternative.

What's confusing is that as far as I know, I'm doing the exact same thing I did last time I leveled up. I'm pretty sure you can just do a straight level up, but all I want is to reward myself the couple thousand XP I lost from my dual class penalty. I might pull it up in a few minutes here and see if I can't screw around and get a different result.
