I reinstalled the game through Galaxy (had to delete it because my old HDD was too small and hadn't touched it in a while) in the old folder but for some reason it doesn't start.
I checked the desktop icon and it's linked to nwn2.exe but this file doesn't seem to work for some reason and it's only 92kb.
I tried with nwn2main.exe and it does work, as well as using the launcher, is it safe to use either?

Definitely talk to support. You may need to redownload and reinstall (I don't have it installed right now so can't check the file size of nwn2.exe -- sorry!)

There should actually be bunch of executable.

nwloader.exe
nwn2.exe
NWN2Launcher.exe
nwn2main.exe
nwn2main_amdxp.exe

nwn2main.exe just skips the launcher.
nwn2.exe actually just launches nwn2main funny enough (other games do this sometimes too not needed)

nwn2launcher.exe should be all your settings (typical shortcut launcher)

nwloader was part of the dvd check that is no longer used but still included.

amdxp should be fairly apparent what that version was for

Perhaps it's some win10 wrapper? I'm using Win7 64.
NWN, both first and second have problems with newer system, the first NWN do some strange things sometimes with x64 system

It's safe anyway, you can try to set compatibility mode for XP SP3, it may help

BEside that i had problems only at launch, then the game work fine afterwards

I just modified the desktop icon to use nwn2main.exe instead, that works with no fuss.

I just wondered why the extra nwn2.exe executable.
