Just been going through and optimizing all my games, and I've noticed that the talk bar is flickering pretty much non-stop. Game works perfectly but it is highly annoying and distracting. Solution, or anything I can turn off to make it go away??

Or possibly some way to turn off the chat bar entirely??

Does minimizing the chat window help? (This can be done by clicking the little "up" arrow on the top of the chat window, if you weren't already aware.) If not, then I'm pretty much out of of ideas. :)

I'm having this problem too after changing to a new computer.

On my previous computer, I didn't have this problem, but I couldn't play movies (cinematics).

On my new computer, I can now play the cinematic videos, but the chat bar keeps flickering whenever the mouse crosses it.
I find that typing something or doing a quick voice command (press something like V, W, W) will stop the flickering, but the moment my mouse goes over the chat bar again, it starts flickering again.

Note that this isn't a problem with the combat log, but the entire strip of chat bar.

I've played NWN 1 online for a few years before and the chat bar flickered (especially the text) and the text would start to garble. The only way I could find out how to fix it is just by quitting and relaunching the game, unfortunately.
