Another way to boot the game with the DM client is to:

- Make a shortcut to nwmain.exe
- Right-click the shortcut and select "properties."
- In the first editable text-box after "[path]/nwmain.exe" type: -dmc
(Make sure the -dmc is outside the quotation marks.)

Then click okay and run the shortcut. It should boost the DM client directly.

Let me know if this works. If it doesn't... well, okay, I don't actually know what to do if it doesn't. Though you should probably tell us what system you're running NWN on.

What operating system are you running?

the program that runs (the actual 'dm client') is dmclient.exe you could try to launch it. If you are running a windows post VISTA operating system you'll likely need to run it as administrator.

Are you sure about that? I don't have a dmclient.exe in my install directory. I need to run nwmain.exe with a -dmc extension, like I described in my post.

OOPS my err. I've been LINUXing it and I have a SHELL SCRIPT of that name - it sorts in the same category as the exe's and thus my err. *facepalm* Been sooooo long since I did anything with nwn on the windows box (other than build). To quote Yoda "Rusty this one is."
