I recently bought the Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights so I could play online, but they wanted me to enter a CD Key, so I entered the one I got for the Diamond Edition. Then, when I tried to connect to a server, I was denied because they said I had a bad CD Key.

What gives?

EE has different keys than Diamond Edition. You'll need to use the key that appears on the game page in your GOG library. I found this out the hard way too.
Thanks bruh.

Sorry, but I don't get what I have to do exactly... Could you explain it further?

View the GOG website in a web browser. Log in. Hover over your username in the navgation bar at the top and click "Games" when it appears to the left of the number of games you own. In the search bar, type "Neverwinter" or similar to locate the game, or Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition may just be visible if your library is small or you bought Neverwinter Nights EE recently. Click the image for Neverwinter Nights EE and you'll get a display of game details taking up most of the screen. There are three drop-down menus under the main headline. You want the right-most one of the three, the last one if you are reading left to right. Click the down arrow next to "More" and select "Serial Keys." This will display the key you'll need to enter. You can copy and paste it if you like.

How did you update the key with the new key?

Same here. And if you try to go through Support to get your key, as suggested on the store page, you end up talking at a terribly stupid bot that doesn't know jack and was clearly never told about this. I may or may not have sworn at it several times, and in the end it created a support ticket so that's probably not happening this week.
Thanks, all I wanted was to play with a friend tonight.

Apparently it has something to do with all the keys being given away by Amazon at the moment.

The developer has been working on this with GOG since yesterday. Have you tried getting a key now?
