So I am somewhat stuck.

I recently bought NWN2: Complete during the ongoing summer sale and I have played the Original Campaign up until I finish Fort Locke and can choose between the Graveyard and the Bandit Camp. I chose the Bandit Camp, and after clearing it, I can not go back to Fort Locke or even the Graveyard because all my map points vanished save West Harbor, Swamp Ruins or Weeping Willow Inn.

What the hell happened and how do I fix this? :S

Your globals.xml never got updated in you saved game.
Are you running the game as administrator? That sometimes helps.

As to what you can do, putting the map locations back on the map is easy enough.

Look for the saved game in your Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\saves\ folder
Look for global.xml & edit it to add the following:

<Integer>
<Name>WM_bShow1209FortLocke</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
<Integer>
<Name>WM_bShow1214BanditCamp</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
<Integer>
<Name>WM_bShow1211Graveyard</Name>
<Value>1</Value>

Whether this is worth it or not depends on what else, if anything wasn't updated.

Well, I read about your similar problem back in January/February and did the following things:

I disabled User Account Controls in Windows 7 and rebooted.
I deleted my NWN2 folder in My Documents with the saves etc, deleted the game folder and did a complete reinstall with the install files I had downloaded earlier.
I turned all the .exe programs to Run as Administrator.
I restarted the game, remade my character and started playing again, but after clearing the Bandit Camp, everything was gone just like earlier.

Is putting the map locations a fix though? Will I still be able to advance the story and, if I do, will this problem occur again? I just want to play this normally. ;/

As for was or was not updated.... what do you mean?

I did an install of the game, then I Updated it in the NWN Launcher and apparently it was completely up to date with... patch 1.23?

I honestly think if it happened once, it will happen again.
It took me weeks of reinstalling to get it running properly, but eventually I did & I haven't had a problem for months.

Yes the game is fully patched, I meant the global.xml file wasn't getting updated when you saved the game.
By other things, I meant things like who you had spoken to, or got quests from.
Replacing the maps will allow you to continue the game, but the people in Fort Locke might act as if they've never seen you before.

Do you have any errors in your event viewer log?

I am using AVG and yes, it was running when I installed the game.

Which event viewer? The Windows one? Well, I skimmed through it and I had no program errors related to this game, but I found something under system which seem to match the times it roughly occured (although not 100% sure.)

That error was this:

"The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for FailureActions with the following error: Access is denied."

It seemed to happen twice yesterday, both seem to be around the time of the two times it occured (but I am really not sure).

Is it familiar to you or..? :S

This error seems to have gone on for further than I have owned the game though. >.<

That error is caused by AVG. go into AVG settings /AVG Self Protection / & uncheck AVG self protection.
It is possible the game is trying to register an old .dll file.
That was one of a long list of things I did.

I ran dxwebsetup.exe for directX & reinstalled the Visual C++ 2005 & 2008 Redistributables

The problem is, you can think you've got it beat, & then in chapter 3 loose your maps.
So by the time it does work properly, your not sure if it was just the last thing your did, or a combination of them.
The last thing I changed was my audio driver, because the Asus one was giving me a
Security Event ID: 6281
Code Integrity determined that the page hashes of an image file are not valid. The file could be improperly signed without page hashes or corrupt due to unauthorized modification. The invalid hashes could indicate a potential disk device error.
File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\sxs.dll

I'm glad I persevered though, there are some great mods for NWN2.

What other things did you do other than turn of UAC and put all programs to .exe?

It was GOG support that told me to turn UAC off.
While it may or may not be beneficial to have UAC disabled while you install the game.
I play without problems with UAC on default setting (1 down from top.)

I also found a thread by you about Asus drivers, so that one does not apply for me.

Can you think of anything else? I'll do a full test later today to see if the same things happen, but I hope they do not. Still, nice to know of stuff ahead of time if there were specific things you did. :P

I'm old & my memory is not so good.
I only remember that stuff because I put it on a forum at the time.

Update: I made it out of the Bandit Camp with the lost points intact. I am going to do the Graveyard and then see if I can hand in all quests in Fort Locke after. If so, I think the problem was fixed, or so I hope. :D

I hope so too.
If you get through the City Watch quests without issue, that would be a good sign. (assuming you take that path)
Other problem areas seemed to be Old Owl Well, & rebuilding your fort.
Save often in different slots until your sure you've got it sorted.
