Hello everyone!

So I just finished the main campaign. Great game by the way.

There is one problem I have with the game though. Sometimes the game does a good job of giving you the tools you need to progress through the story. For example: the ritual tomes in Klauth's lair or the necklace in the snow globe.

Other times, not so much. Like right at the beginning when you have to retrieve the animals for Aribeth. I kept getting my rear handed to me. I looked online and it turns out that I actually have to do the areas in a specific order. Another example is the fight with Morag. The thing that made that fight really tough was the fact that I couldn't rest or use my teleport stone. Because of that I couldn't refresh my spells or summon my animal companion. I thought about reverting to an earlier save and fighting my way to the boss again, but I told myself that's how a boss fight is supposed to go, and I'll have to suck it up.

It was just me, Daelan, and our equipment/potions. I put together that you had to destroy the statue first, then take out the priests; at least the ones that will make Morag vulnerable to your attacks. That was a pretty big challenge. Morag herself was attacking me with her minions, and the adds took out me and Daelan pretty fast.

In my final attempt, I opened the door and noticed she didn't start dialogue. So I decided to snipe the statue and see what she did...

Nothing. The statue was eventually destroyed. I managed to take out two of her priests from the doorway with my bow. At that point she still didn't say or do anything. I decided to kill the sword priest so Daelan can get in a few hits on her. I gave him some potions and I drank a few myself, then I charged in and attacked the priest. She still didn't do anything. I eventually killed the sword priest. Slaughtering two of her most devoted faithful was ok, but three was crossing a line.

Morag charged in and tried to attack me. I knew I couldn't go toe to toe with her. Her goons can kill Daelan really fast, and I didn't have anywhere near the amount of HP he had. When she reached me, Daelan followed her and started attacking her. I decided to run around in small circles so it would be easy for him to hit Morag. And so the ancient god, the beast who threatened the extinction of countless species on Faerun, was killed via Benny Hill; chase, music, et all.
Hey. Generally OC is very easy even on hard. There are some tough fights but thats what potions and buffs are for.

Its true that first chapter is easier when you do in specific order. If you talk to Aribeth she will tell you that order and where you should go next. However, with my Rogue I did it randomly and it was still very easy.

But... I used Companion mod which enables you to use their inventory and better AI options.
Also I enabled the "maximum health at level up" in the ini file. Maybe thats why it was so easy for me.
Besides, it is hard to play a wizard at lower levels. I played Shadows of Undrentide with a mage and was killed often. But when I reached above level 10, i was a walking destruction.

Wow! I can't believe I missed that part about the beginning. Thanks for the info!
Let me know if you're interested in doing any of the official campaigns or any of the dozens of stellar custom campaigns in multiplayer. I am completely patient and don't care if you stumble around, carefully investigate every last dialogue option, or check out every corner on the map -- I simply enjoy playing and will read a book or surf the web if necessary (nor will I spoil puzzles or whatever).
