It will be an online multiplayer NWN game. It will be a DM-led adventure that will span 2-4 days (depending upon how slow people go :D).

Kayla M’kai (female, age 23)
Half-Elf, Rogue, 5’5” with a toned, athletic build and fiery red hair.

To know Kayla is to know fire.
Her passions are at once intense & fickle, quick to change and at times all-consuming.
She is unpredictable. Getting close is to risk getting burned, but her likable nature radiates warmth.

Kayla was easily bored in the state mandated school… and easily distracted. Because of this she was often in trouble. Not mean spirited, but often vengeful when crossed.
Once free of the system, Kayla disappeared…
…Off to the high seas!
But not well planned. Visiting Baywatch after graduation, Kayla was enthralled by a merchant vessel from a far away land. After befriending some of the crew, she learned they recently lost their cook. I little fast talking and a stretch of the truth, and Kayla found herself joining them as they headed out to sea. Quickly, she learned two things; she loved the salt air & freedom… and she didn’t really know her way around a kitchen. So, as with most things, she improvised. Kayla managed to fool the Captain & Crew for a few months. Once discovered, many admitted she was better than the previous cook. When the ship made its next berth, Kayla lost her position as cook, but was instrumental in locating her replacement. She stayed on for a few years, filing in where needed, learning every task and becoming an invaluable part of the crew, even returning to the kitchen now and again.
Tragedy struck when the merchant vessel was taken by pirates. Many of the crew were killed, but Kayla, once again, talked her way onto the ship, as the cook. Over the years she learned to fight, at first for survival amongst the pirate crew, then eventually at their side in raids.
However, in time even this life began to pale and Kayla became restless again. On a recent raid, Kayla found herself back in the familiar city of Baywatch. Slipping away in the confusion, she made her way into the hills and forest. Travelling across the island she returned to Lazareth, arriving only days before the reunion.
(This was done at 3:30 in the morning so I might throw some more refinement into it at a later time or even ingame but I do believe I got down the necessities. Been awhile since i've done any RP of any kind so go easy on me ;) )

Drago Hille
Halfling Male age 22
Fighter
3'0" , Dark brown hair and brown eyes

Even with just a casual glance at Drago you see a Halfling unlike the norm of their kind. While not overly tall for his kind his body is finely corded with strong, powerful (for a halfling that is) muscles and it's quite obvious he's one fit for dealing punches as well as taking them but with a noticeable air of intelligence around him as well.

At a younger age Drago's parents were killed in a fire that swept through their home while he was attending school. Taken in by a human family, good friends of his parents, that lived outside Lazareth he continued on with his life mourning for his family in private. As he aged he began to take up the profession of the head of the family as a lumberjack between schooling. While he was small in size his body gradually adapted and strengthened as he spent evenings cutting timber and logs, using money left to him by his parents he had a small handaxe specially crafted to aid him which he preferred over the standard lumberjack axe .

During his schooling Drago excelled in class's though not quite at the top of any of them. He enjoyed spending some of his free time between class's in the library reading whichever booked called out to him from the shelves. Preferring to avoid conflict he kept to himself for the most part. Though he was known to hop into a brawl if he felt like the losing side deserved the aid.

Since graduating from schooling Drago continued his work as a lumberjack for a short while to save up extra coin. He eventually travelled around the nearby lands learning about other cities and cultures and finding work as hired security at some taverns, Inns and the like, before signing up as a guard for a caravan on it's way back to Lazareth. Upon returning he found work as part of the local militia helping to keep the outlying areas safe from any wild animals and other wild things. Preferring to fight with his custom made handaxe a strong shield and a sturdy suit of armor and even known to carry a few throwing axes he's learned to toss with decent accuracy some people might mistake him for a thin dwarf at a distance. Drago has also developed soft spot for shiny rocks and gems and has a small pouch he carries around that he fills with any plain stones that catch his fancy and even a few less valuable gems he's found here and there.
Ragnar Grip, Human (24 yrs), Fighter

Height: 1.97 meters, eyes: blue, hair: dark brown, skin: pale white

The Grip family was a foreign merchant family whose name generations ago used to carry some weight within Lazareth. In more recent times however the family had fallen on harder times. The remanining Grip family consisted of Ragnar, his father and uncle. His uncle ran the single remaining family store while his father spent most of his time on long trade voyages to distant lands.

Ragnar did not excel particualarly at school, he focused on the subjects he thought would be helpful when he took up the family profession. He enjoyed the martial training where he exceled since his size gave him an advantage over the others.

Upon graduating Ragnar assisted his uncle running the store for a while. Eventually his father returned from his latest voyage and Ragnar joined him on the next. During these voyages Ragnar mostly acted as his fathers assistant and bodyguard. After a few years Ragnar and his father had completed a few voyages and things were starting to look better for the family business.

However during the last voyage with his father their ship was waylaid by pirates. The threat of piracy was a known factor in the outlying archipelago. Ragnar's father had hired mercenaries but as it turned out a significant part turned out to be aligned with the pirates. During the ensuing struggle Ragnar was knocked overboard.

Ragnar ended up on an uninhabited archipelago island. He could deduce the outcome of the struggle from the flotsam. Eventually Ragnar was spotted by a fishing vessel.

Returning to Lazareth he found that the shop had closed up. From what he could gather his uncled had packed up and left but no one knew where. In the months after returning to Lazareth Ragnar has mostly spent them trying drown his sorrow in cheap inns, perhaps hoping to overhear something relating to his uncle or an opportunity in general.

Ragnar is proficent with a longsword. Typically his stature dissuade confrontations but when bandits were desperate enough he got some practice. While his chainmail have kept him alive through his journeys he has got his share of scars from his experiences.

tinchairs: Ragnar Grip, Human (24 yrs), Fighter
Ragnar starts with:
45 gold coins
a cheap, flimsy longsword
Old, but useful chainmail
A stock of alcohol
A pipe and various weeds (I added this one -- seems to fit and will be useful)
He's spent enough on booze at the inns and causes no trouble, so he can rest at inns for free.

I may edit these over the next few days as I implement.
So will you be starting up the server a bit early to let everyone get sorted out and all that good stuff?

I'm also assuming you're gonna PM us all the IP address to connect to?

I will PM all players the IP address. My hope is to have the server up at least 30 minutes early. My only request is that people stay in Lazareth so that people don't start up the story before everyone gets on.

Also, VERY IMPORTANT:

If you are running a GOG copy of the game, you need to have a new CD key. Go here: http://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/neverwinter_nights_diamond_edition and select "multiplayer key request" to get your key.

GOG is closed on the weekends, so you need to get your CD key now.

Green_Hilltop: I have fencing starting at exactly the same time, so unfortunately I won't be able to make it that day. However I'll be available the week after that!

Tallima: Excellent. I'll add you to the official list. We'll see you on week 2. Good luck with the fencning practice/tournament! If it'sa tournament, let us know how you do!
Great news, (sorry for the late reply, I wanted to write during the weekend but it got quite busy and I forgot about it), I can join the campaign this Saturday after all! :) It's actually a stage combat class and it ended this week because they already updated their website with the new dates after it got moved (which I didn't expect) when I was checking if it coincides with the campaign or not and mentally adding the +1 week to them.

Thanks for your kind wish, I usually love tournaments and I'm really good at fighting so I usually rank well. It's not Olympic fencing though, I do historical combat or stage combat which is very similar but has added moves for showing off and is slower with more narrative. :)

So, how's it looking with my bisontaur (a centaur bison) druidic nature elementalist?

Just kidding. ;) See here for additional laughs and a reference.

Anyway, I was thinking of going along with a barbarian, monk or a ranger seeing as none of the first two have been taken yet and I was considering ranger as one of my first choices. I have no idea what kind of powers do barbarians and monks have (haven't played those yet), what would you recommend with currect party setup? Especially if I'd like to be a useful party member who is at the front of the battle and gets a lot of kills, seeing as last time I was a cleric and had a lot of fun with the support and was the secondary DPS attacker (unless it came to undead), so I could be at the forefront of the fray this time around?

The name will probably be the hardest to come up with, though. Will we be using voice chat as well so we don't have to type much (I hope it'll be more dialogue-driven than last time) or it's gonna be coimpletely without any voice chat like last time?

I have no plans for voice chat. If absolutely everyone wanted to do voice chat, we could Skype it. But only if everyone wanted to.

There will be dialog, combat and puzzle-solving. It will not be super-dialog-driven, though. No political intrigue or swaying the innkeeper's daughter. A good dialog-filled game would take more time than I can put into the game right now. Most of the dialog will be between you guys as you try to figure things out.

I think we have 1 rogue, 2 fighters and 2 ranger, so you'd be fine with any of the classes. A barbarian would be mostly in the front, monk and ranger could dual-role front or ranged.

Since everyone will be at least somewhat fighting-centric (no healers, no wimpy wizards), you guys will end up being very durable for the low-level battles that you'll meet.

Feel free to still post your bio. I may or may not find time to build you some gear. I'm still working on the module anyway, so I'll try to add your stuff if I can.
