GOG can be neglected by developers, are we going to get the updates the same day as steam, or are we completely alone?
Considering it's the middle of the night in Europe where the devs are, it seems that we are forgettable to them unfortunately.
I'm not gonna defend the dev/publisher for not updating GOG concurrently, but the Steam patch was released at 16:53 CEST - that's 4:53 pm on a Friday. So maybe they just pushed out the patch on Steam (which, let's be honest, is the de-facto main platform for PC gaming and thus the main focus for any dev) at the last second and then left for the weekend. Let's hope the patch will get to GOG early next week, at least.

Hello there,

I've tried to reach Focus on their Discord, radio / silent.

So, there is my point..

Editors and studios are crying about hacked games, but they try everytime to screw up their customers.
How you can think that delaying updates for a game, depending on which plateform you're buying it is fair ? Espacially without mention on the buying page.

There's also no mentions about it in ToS, we are here, near a big SCAM.

I'm done with this and i strongly encourage people to refund their GOG version.

See ya !

Well, it's the weekend...?

Seriously, though: We all know that some devs are absolutely terrible about patching their games on GOG. A few don't even update their games for years and GOG don't do anything about it.

But in this case, we're talking about the GOG version not receiving a patch that was released at 5 pm on the previous day, and a Friday at that. For all we know, Streumon/Focus Home might even have sent GOG the files in time, but everyone at the GOG offices had already left for the weekend.

What I'm saying is: If you feel this delay is reason enough to demand a refund, it's your right to ask for one. But I would encourage people to wait a few more days to see if the patch gets released next week. If it isn't, that's a much clearer indication that they don't care about GOG customers and you'll still be within the 30 day refund window then.

Of course people can wait, but personnaly i'm tired of both GOG and studios/editors doing nothing about it in general. At the very least, plateforms should advise customers about that in their store. But well, if they want to give more reasons to people to hack the games they're doing it the right way.

I'm a little bit salty on this subject, but i'm tired to be scammed.

ya, it makes GoG/cdpr look kinda weak almost as if they're begging for games on their platform if they don't even demand the same support as Steam. I really like this game, but it almost feels like early access and that it needed to be bug-tested for a few weeks before launching. I can't even ADS since the sensitivity scaling is so bugged that I can move a whole mousepad with my mouse and the sights barely even budge. I've never encountered a game with this bugged and broken ADS. Thankfully I haven't encountered anything else game-breaking. the lack of crosshair customization also compounds this issue since you just have this big clunky thing that is hard to square long-range shots up with(it's almost like the game was developed with ADS in mind....) crosshair customization would be nice, but a man can only dream.

I don't want to derail the thread, but I had the same issue with low default sensitivity when aiming down sights. There is a slider in the controls menu called "aim sensitivity" which you can use to fix that, though. Hope it helps.
The first patch is now out on GOG Galaxy, though the offline installers seem to be lagging behind. Also, DLC still not available for purchase.

Updating now and it seems like it is practically redownloading the whole thing again, which is just insane...

Those of you on limited Internet (like me) beware before you hit that Update button.

Welp, thanks, you're right and I feel retarded LOL. to be fair, it should be called aim down sight or ADS sensitivity like every other videogame to ever exist, but I guess the devs are German so a few things are expected to be wonky. in retrospect, this patch was pointless since I didn't need anything fixed and I had to redownload the entire game. at least they're supporting the game on GoG though.

Is it redonwloading the whole game or is it downloading a small patch and then copies original game to temp folder, applies patch to that and replaces the original game with patched version like in CP2077 where game requires something about 60 Gb but during the patching it takes about 130Gb?

pretty sure it was a complete redownload.

Streumon Studios are French, actually - though I don't think it makes any difference in the jank department ;)

Also, I can confirm that Galaxy re-downloaded the entire ~20some gigs. Not sure if it used any temp files, though.

BTW: The offline installers are updated now.
