okay so i downloaded it seeing a compatibility for XP/Vista.
i'm on Vista 32 bit home premium for starters.
i've tried fiddling with the settings (HAL, with/without T&L. direct sound, etc..), compatibility modes (everything from XP down), and admin options to no avail.
anyone have any clue why its crashing?
it just gives me a black screen and then dumps me down to a realmyst.exe has stopped working error.
tbh only other game atm giving me this error that shouldn't be is AvP2 :/ so maybe if i find a fix for one i can for the other :p

Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX+ 512 with the 196 drivers released this past month.

figured out the issue BTW.
i was right in my long thaughts, it was a driver issue.
apparently the latest 3D vision drivers (despite rating this game "good" and AvP2 as "excellent") are causing the crashes...
bummer.
still, not hard to turn off and ignore.

Grim this is the same issue I am having. Is there a way to turn off the setting that is causing the crashes or do you just have to rollback the drivers?

Mine also crashes every time I start it. I have Ratheon HD 4200 graphics

How can you turn them off when I can't even get to the options screen before it crashes?

Can't you turn them off in ATI's control panel ? (Catalyst Control Center ??)
